Game 1 went to overtime! If this was hockey Dan would be upset but since it is the NBA it just allowed us more time to be in awe of Lebron.

Lebron lost but it doesn't matter. You don't have to like him but you are compelled to appreciate him, ya fuckin' meatball.

Didn't want to start a new thread so I'll throw this here.

I was looking at some old stats and saw that in the Bulls first title in the 5-game series vs. the Lakers, the entire team had 21 3-point attempts for the series. Even Paxson only took 4 of his 49 shots from beyond the arc.

That seemed incredible to me, particularly Paxson's numbers. I just don't remember him taking anything but 3-pointers.

There were 58 taken in last night's game alone.

Different kind of game. Doesn't seem like that long ago.

I've watched that game so many times I've memorized it (the clincher). Pax took a ton of 15-17 footers. Players moved SO WELL without the ball, and every set was off an initial fast break. Both teams would literally grab the ball as it went through the net to start their break right back at the other team. Such a fun series to watch.

It's not surprising that the MVP of the league is a chucker.

I know trolling Dan on Twitter is kind of dumb, but boy do I love doing it. The fact he has to respond on radio makes me know I did well. Dan is one of those smart people that don't realize how fucking stupid some of the shit they say is.

lebron going iso every possession is sound coaching right? it seems like lebron passes too much when he does go iso, him taking a contested 8 footer seems like a better shot attempt than passing out to mozgov anyways.

Your enjoyment is operating under a false premise as that Finals didn't have LeBron and was therefore by default, inferior .

So the les clip in the open.... He says takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.... But he got it backwards. So did his brain fart think it was "takes a tickin and keeps on lickin?"--- if so it sounds like a whore is on the clock or something.

Cmon its exposing those old dudes for the frauds they are!! Tony Fernandez was great. As an aside, those 2 taintstains seem to get a giggle out of the intro to Stoney's hit when Hawk says in his 93 years plus in baseball he's only seen two center fielders cover more ground than ( I didn't catch who he was referring to) and those 2 were Mickey Mantle and Willie Wilson when Stone Pony throws in lets not forget Willie Mays which they seem to find hysterical that Hawk left him out. Aren't Mantle and Wilson 2 of the more acknowledged faster players in major league history? Is it that much of a stretch to say that they covered more ground ( weren't better outfielders mind you than Mays) Ive never seen it posited that Mays was renowned for his speed like Wilson and Mantle were but they're so eager to dump on anything Hawk says that even when it could be that he's correct they want to shit on it.

I would watch a nonstop loop of Hawk interviewing Adam "Spanky" Eaton before watching an NBA game.

I'll have to see what his WAR was before I can comment on Lofton.

They really have a hard on for Castro today. Management must have contacted them to make the Thibs PR plan to ease him out of town.

Baseball-Ref WAR or Fangraphs WAR there's a lot of ways to calculate it. Let me see the evidence, here.

Man, these miserable pricks really hate dogs. I know it this might sound gay but I didn't grow up or have any dogs until I met my wife and now have her 2 pugs. I honestly didn't know you could love something so much and that they really do change your life.

One of the dumber positions Dan holds is that having a pet is stupid because you should be spending that money on your kids. The idea is that your kids enjoy having a pet.

Dan also thinks the Hawks might lose Brandon Saad. Clearly he's unfamiliar with the rampant collusion that goes on in restricted free agency. The whole league could have offered Jamie Benn a contract two years ago but didn't. Just chose not to.

Dan deftly goes from Bulls p.r. flack to Blackhawks investigator.

Dan's position on dogs is prime evidence that he's a piece of shit in real life and doesn't just play one on the radio.

Bernstein is a dangerous idiot.

Toxoplasma gondii can be carried by every warm blooded animal, including dogs. The only major outbreak was in China and was traced back to dogs. In fact, most researchers, and people with their heads attached correctly, see far more of a danger in handling dog feces outside where hand washing occurs sometime after that of someone using a scoop to clean a cat pan. Although in either case, it is so exceedingly rare that a 30 year study is still inconclusive and a search for Dan's sources take you to the usual sites that require you to suspend a bit of critical thinking, like the Daily Mail.

I'd say that someone should call him on his disinformation campaign but we all know that would lead to being called a moron before being hung up on.

I guess these doctors aren't Really Smart Enough. Dan's self-appointed status as a public intellectual is ironic, because he's a fucking moron.

Steph Curry VORP for this year: 7.9

LeBron James VORP for this year: 5.9

Yet Danny B is supposed to be the advanced stats guy.
