They take tranny hoes, old hoes, worn out hoes, diseased hoes, real estate donations and drippy hoes.

One year of Barret Jackman at $1MM is still somehow too much.

All of the verteran rent-a-players are gone. Sharp is gone, Crow gone. If they can move Bickell he'll be gone.

In comes the youth movement...they have young talent...they'll be back in 2 years with KANE.

You don't trade away a guy like Kane. You don't.

All Great points....and if the youth is there, as you stated and thus very little pressure is on the cap, of course I wouldnt trade Kane.

Just tossed it out for dicussion. If 2 guys take 1/3 of your cap, I would imagine it is hard to maintain a great team, as people like to get paid on great teams.

more power to the Bowmans if it all works well.

Saad gets Sharp's money so that's a wash.

Teuvo is a young inexpensive monster. TVR is young and inexpensive and got injured. They signed 2 overseas young players this season.

Mgmt will not allow Q to play Roszival, Versteeg, and these other old clowns. They will force him with a youth movement and the cycle will repeat in a few years.

This team is in really good shape for another quality run as they develop the yoots.

and these would be reasonable answers on why you wouldnt even look into a trade that could net you some unreal assets.

Just knowing a cap is $71M and 2 guys gets $21M...leaving $50 m for everyone else...I would just imagine there is a cap squeeze somewhere...if that such circumstance doesnt exist , then Bravo to Stan.

The ability to get an unreal haul for the guy has to be there?

I am not shopping him, I am making one call to Tatonka and asking....

BUFFALO BILLS : Hello Buffalo Bills, how may I help you?
STAN BOWMAN : "kane for your 1st pick 2015,16 and 17" "YES OR NO!"
BB: This is Rex Ryan. Now let's go get a fucking snack.
SB: OK, Deal is off.....<click>

Now you can say you made the call.....and the best part, "SOURCES" from DB would have it the next day!

Fixed

The Sabres and Hawks will make a trade at the draft or before. If the Hawks had a QB, the Bills would make a trade today.
Sabres have two first rounders and the first pick of the second round. How about Sharp for the later first?

I'd do Sharp for 31 if I weren't worried about Sharp's limited no-trade blocking Buffalo. Everyone blocks Buffalo.

After 2010 I thought it was stupid to keep Hossa and let 5-6 other guys go. Happily ate crow in 2013. Bigfan, using that example as a barometer I hope you will eat crow in 2017 or 2018. (as I'm sure you do too!)

Sharp for Ottawa-via-Dallas's 42 might look like the better bet now if he's willing to play in Ottawa. Good place to raise a family, maybe not a good place to cheat on one.

You'd have to ask for Eichel and Girgensons at the very least and add on from there. Buffalo wouldn't do it. They've spent years getting their ducks in a row for a full-scale cost-controlled rebuild; they're not going to torpedo it all just to get Patrick Kane in his late 20s/early 30s. Western New Yorkers support the Sabres damn well without a hometown hero. Kane's not going anywhere.

HORRIBLE SPORTS THOUGHTS! jesus christ man you can't see a brilliant deal when it's literally hovering over your face teabagging you like "do you want my cookies from tonight's dinner or what?" cuz sports-thought-prison-dinner-cookies have tremendous value like that.

speaking of tremendous value, why the hell wouldn't buffalo give up the whole lot of their shit for KANERRRRRR? you're damn wrong they'd do it! he's a HOMETOWN HERO, and while that's not a big deal to a soulless swampy jetsetter like yourself, that kind of stuff MATTERS to the good people of buffalo. they haven't had a winner in, well, forever as far as i'm concerned (cuz the early 90s bills were like getting a nice attractive 7 home and getting a wee bit of the ol "sausage surprise" when you're ready to seal the deal, and if you start saying some CH-type bullshit like "when in rome...." let me tell you that i am AMERICAN and if i wanted to see some old-ass buildings i'd go watch a western. if i wanted REAL AUTHENTIC PIZZA i'd go to lou malnati's. if i wanted a romantic night in a far-off exotic land i'd go out to lakemoor cuz i hear some of the best posters on the board dreamed of going there and dammit if it's good enough for the HOF that's good enough for the rank-n-file like me)

SO AHEM. yeah buffalo can be miserable bastards like whatever equivalent of soulless-SABRmetric hockey geek you are (+/- matters, fucko!) or you can go and get a PROVEN WINNER and oh yeah did i mention a HOMETOWN HERO in the PRIME of his career with 2 and quite possibly 3 LORD STANLEY'S CUPS under his belt.... you're gonna do that every single time you ignoramus. don't tell me that buffalo wouldn't jump at the opportunity to do this because you know how certain you are the hawks are going to win every playoff series that matters in a stanley cup year? well that's because they have HOFers (you know, like that thing they do here on the board but for sports people. total ripoff IMO) like KANER on the team, and until buffalo gets at least one HOFer like KANERRRRRR they have no chance of winning a single goddamn thing. so shut your mouth with this ignorant bullshit that buffalo wouldn't JUMP at the chance to trade their whole damn team for patrick kane. the blackhawks probably have a special cellphone # set up JUST for buffalo's weekly-to-daily calls to inquire about his availability. hell they prolly send out agent provocateurs to "casually run into him" in public and ensure he gets drunk/laid/on-tmz.com's-frontpage just to run up the likelihood of a trade by creating more bad behavior that chicago's heart, soul, and moral compass dan bernstein, won't stand for. so stop being stupid and get with the program here: BUFFALO WOULD COLLECTIVELY TRADE ONE TESTICLE FROM EVERY SINGLE FRONT-OFFICE/OWNER TO GET PATRICK FREAKING "hOMETOWN HERO" KANE!

now as for the hawks trading him? i've instructed my manservant/s to shoot anyone who even suggests such a horrible fucking idea. GO HAWKS!

sincerely,

sinihead

Haha, that is a gold-medal shitpost.

The Sabres are going to be so fun to watch next year now that they'll have Eichel, Evander Kane, Reinhart, and a coach who isn't a complete simpleton. I'm so happy for them.

I sure hope Kane scores the winning goal or a goal, or an assist in one of these final 2 games, because we could have never got here without him.

Maybe it has been his defense I havent noticed? or his decoy ability?

:D

Seven points in the Anaheim series, six against Minnesota, seven against Nashville. Tied with Toews for third in the playoffs in points, tied for second in goals. So no, we couldn't have.

I hope Toews or Kane has a three-point game on Monday to knock that mouthy little shit Johnson out of first place.
