I was looking at some old stats and saw that in the Bulls first title in the 5-game series vs. the Lakers, the entire team had 21 3-point attempts for the series. Even Paxson only took 4 of his 49 shots from beyond the arc.

That seemed incredible to me, particularly Paxson's numbers. I just don't remember him taking anything but 3-pointers.

There were 58 taken in last night's game alone.

I've watched that game so many times I've memorized it (the clincher). Pax took a ton of 15-17 footers. Players moved SO WELL without the ball, and every set was off an initial fast break. Both teams would literally grab the ball as it went through the net to start their break right back at the other team. Such a fun series to watch.

As an aside, those 2 taintstains seem to get a giggle out of the intro to Stoney's hit when Hawk says in his 93 years plus in baseball he's only seen two center fielders cover more ground than ( I didn't catch who he was referring to) and those 2 were Mickey Mantle and Willie Wilson when Stone Pony throws in lets not forget Willie Mays which they seem to find hysterical that Hawk left him out. Aren't Mantle and Wilson 2 of the more acknowledged faster players in major league history? Is it that much of a stretch to say that they covered more ground ( weren't better outfielders mind you than Mays) Ive never seen it posited that Mays was renowned for his speed like Wilson and Mantle were but they're so eager to dump on anything Hawk says that even when it could be that he's correct they want to shit on it.
