Never going to be an amazing player, but no mistaken it is MLB level talent. Good AB's, very solid RF on a few plays. This is real depth, this is a bench player you want on a team, so when he gives guys a rest or late inning replacements your fall off is minimal.

I'll tell you what...I'm feeling good about a Cubs lineup with him and Coghlin in it for the long run.

At this stage in his career, Denorfia is best playing against lefties. I know he has to play just about everyday right now because of the injury to Soler, but under normal circumstances, him being in the lineup long-term will only expose him. And that's not to knock the guy. I want him to succeed and more importantly for the Cub to succeed, but you gotta pump the brakes on your love for veteran journeymen jimmy.

Denorfia is a platoon player, but a good platoon player. Now that Baez is a bit away from claiming a spot on the infield, Bryant will remain in left. Coghlan and Denorfia will be a solid LF platoon when Soler gets back.
