I now see Abbatocola has mentioned the possibility of deal earlier today. I haven't been listening to B&B or the Score for quite some time now, but I apologize if this rumor has already been discussed in another thread.

I see in your first post that this guy posted this rumor 10 hours ago. I'm convinced drinky saw this guys twitter feed and just reported it as his own. Since this guy is a no name, drinky can say he scooped the Chicago media if it happens. If it doesn't happen, he can just say it fell through at the last minute.

That's how they do it at the SCORE.

Yeah. The way drinky "Nervously" reported the story made me raise an eye brow. It was as though he knew he was doing something wrong. He ripped this off and presented it as his scoop. No doubt. He desperately wants to stand out as a legit media guy. But he's full of shit and sleazy like his radio Dad. He learned it from him.

He's a hack that said a trade was agreed upon Sunday and it would happen Monday. Then it got pushed back until Monday night. Then it got pushed back until after the draft on Tuesday night. Wed morning there is still no report. Don't come out with reports of a big trade that is going down and then produce nothing. He says he can't announce the trade yet (for some reason) and he's not going to out his source. Two reasons he cant. There is no trade and this jabroni with 4500 twitter followers doesn't have inside information. He was looking for more twitter followers and it blew up in his face and he looks minor league.

I actually believe him. Small details in trades sometimes take awhile to hammer out, even if the deal has been agreed to in principle.

No reason for big trades. Someone wants Starlin, OK, he is yours...would probably be a nice deal for someone, buying at a low price.

Vogelbach, I would be willing to trade because his position is blocked....maybe not his position, but the only one he can play... besides DH.

We arent ready to win or go for it. Happy to see them win and doesnt mean you give up, but keep improving, offseason moves and then see...

It's harder to tell down south ... generally if someone ends up with a broken finger, it's from a punch to the nose.

Read his blog and he completely back tracked on what he said and then even went back on that. Trade is happening today. Wait no it's not. Trade is happening after the draft on Monday. Wait no its not. Trade will happen Tuesday after the draft. Wait check that it will happen soon. It's a non deadline move with "complicated shit" I believe he said. He also took credit for calling out the Cubs pick when I believe that was about his 4th or 5th choice.

The part that is true is the trade – there is a trade announcement coming and I stand by that. And if I weren’t a B-team, moonlight blogger at Barstool then I’d be more specific. My mistake was saying it would be announced yesterday. I did not consider the resources consumed by the MLB draft both on a team and league basis, and I also did not consider the fact that it’s a non deadline deal. Not everything in this game happens at the drop of a hat. Sometimes it takes time to review a lot of shit, including medicals and financials, as well as preparing rosters for new additions/departures. That said, I stand by what I said. Live by the ambiguous sword, die by the ambiguous sword.

And for those blasting me on twitter about how (1) I don’t know shit and (2) they can no longer take me serious, then let me ask you to do two things. First, read my draft blog from yesterday, then see how the draft unfolded, and then try and tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.
