The Cubs offense has not been conducive to runs being scored.

I don't know if Comerica will help in that. Maybe.

Either way, the offense (or parts of it) isn't living up to expectations, while the pitching staff is exceeding expectations. Hopefully the former comes around while the latter stays the same.

For Jesse, that's a pretty good article.

Well I didn't expect him to be turrible but I feel they overpaid him mostly based on past production rather than future expectations . I just don't feel he's a 20 million plus pitcher .

I've said it before and been shouted down but his big free agent track record over the past 5+ years is bad, and that is after being saved from Sanchez and Tanaka.

it's been mixed moreso than bad. in his 4 year tenure with the Cubs he's done pretty well with his lower profile free agency signings. those have been led to very positive results.

that's why I said "big free agent signings". His last year in Boston was epically bad as well.
