Not worried, but last 2 outing have been below average, after a month of May in which you got what you expected.

Didnt expect GREATNESS...and expected worse than his last year numbers. I do want to see improvements and when big games come...hoping they do, is where he can earn his money.

i think this is over-stated a little bit. every team has a backup catcher that catches once a week to give the regular guy a break. it isn't like john lester has it in his contract to have a shitty personal catcher. it just happened to work out that the cubs backup catcher happens to be really shitty. lester is just jumping on the grenade so ross's shittiness won't rub off on the rest of the pitching staff. i wish castillo was here as the backup and ross was far, far away somewhere on someone else bench being "baseball smart" and "a sure-fire manager of the future".

worse is that it made you trade a very serviceable catcher under team control

for the record that was a tongue-in-cheek comment, i think ross is awful and i think lester has been very disappointing no matter who his catcher is or could have been.
