Listening to today's transition:

Terry said this is the greatest basketball series he's ever seen.

Dan said this is the greatest sporting event he's ever seen. He was sitting there watching it "agog."

Their beyond over-the-top praise for this series makes me think there is a lot of mediocre basketball being played.

What was so great about watching the MVP suck for three quarters?

In the NCAA tournament, games being competitive cannot outweigh poor shooting and offense. In the NBA playoffs, games featuring poor shooting and offense still constitute good basketball due to their competitiveness.

It's been entertaining, but I don't under the incessant slurping. Well, I guess I do considering it's LeBron. For shit sake, Curry threw a behind-the-back pass to no one last night. Literally. Terry needs to head up to Basketball Reeducation Camp if he truly think this is the greatest series he's ever seen.

Very entertaining but a lot of bad basketball being played with even worse reffing.

Off the top of my head I think the 2013 finals featured much higher quality basketball than what's been on display so far and I'd say 2011 probably did too. I guess this series is flattered by taking place at the end of a playoffs that's been utterly dreary save for one first round series, but the mere fact that we're now finally getting competitive games doesn't automatically equate to "great" basketball.

This series has been competitive but the games have not been well played. Lebron James is taking a lot of shots and missing the majority of them. Steph Curry is showing why James Harden should have been the MVP. Klay Thompson isn't looking like a third team all NBA guy either. I think its the greatest thing ever because after 3 games it goes a long way toward validating their assertion that James is the best ever. Once this series turns which likely will occur tomorrow it will no longer be the best of anything.

It was extremely physical. Golden State was running that Aussie through a lot of hard screens.

Dan's showing his ass here as just making up an opinion for conversation's sake. It's been of pretty solid consensus that this has been interesting and competitive but not exactly precision basketball. You have Dellavedova, who in the past would be as antithetical of a Bernstein player as they come, playing nearly 40 minutes and diving into everyone's legs. Plus he has a beard, where's the #brand?

So yup, this reads like a way to troll up anti-LeBron and pro-Hockey peeps. Listen to the bad callers, as the podcast descriptions say.

No Terry's guy only comes into play after the event has ended. So, after the series is done, Terry's guy will have the winner, numbers of games played, and the entertainment value of the series. He is

Don't know about 'very' other than very quick ... entertaining in spite of itself I'd say. And the refs? Ye gods .....

I can't wait to find up what cocktail of exotic serums Dellavedova has been on this series.

Dellavedova is just a guy unless he plays with Bernsie's boyfriend.

[quote="Reared on the Score"]Dan's showing his ass here as just making up an opinion for conversation's sake.

That is what he has become these days. He probably prides himself on being a bombthrower but the problem with this is that it just comes off as fake. His Lebron love began after the "decision". If not after it definitely was noticeable around the yr he was in free agency. The decision made Lebron James a hated made and hence his love of Lebron was born.

You can detect a pattern with him in regards to his "stances". Whenever something or someone is overwhelmingly popular or unpopular he will simply take the opposite position, drum up interest on the opposing side and feign outrage at anyone that disagrees with him. It doesn't matter if the person makes valid points because Bernstein has a bully pulpit by which to communicate his thoughts. His methods are justifiable by the fact that his is the highest rated show on the station.

Dellavedova represents two of the three things Bernstein hates most in sports. White and Tried Hard. If he were American it would be the trifecta.

Shaq, MJ, Kobe, Magic, Bird, Duncan, Lebron, Robinson, The malone Brothers, ....

Curry is still knocking on the door to get in front of Rose and Nash (2 time winner!)

Dont care if lebron gets every play, every shoot.....just tells me Golden State isnt a good team...as far as Championships go

Actually the funniest thing was he was hating on Lebron as much as anyone in the immediate aftermath of the decision, going on about how disappointed he was that Lebron wasn't daring to be great like stars of the past. He's been a front and vocal supporter of both idiotic overstated narratives about James in the last 5 years; at least those that hate for hatred's sake and those who never stopped slurping him have a modicum of consistency.

That's what I remember. Once the decision became overwhelmingly unpopular and James became universally disliked he became his greatest champion. It all just seems contrived.

While this series hasn't finished its course, 2014 was a superior series in every game. Last night was unbelievable theater as James showed why men jostle to tell the tale of his taint. But the 2015 MVP showed up late in the game with the score down 20 and made it a contest. Fun to watch, unless you need to explain what one's concept of "fun" is really about, but which 2014 team would have allowed it to have become a game?

This was hyperbole, right?

If they want 2 HOFers battling out in a contested series with one all-time legend putting on a show, Bulls/Suns was far better than this.

Jordan per game vs. Lebron

FG% / Pts / Reb / Ast / Steals
Jordan
50.0% / 31 / 7 / 5 / 5
50.0% / 42 / 12 / 9 / 2
44.2% / 44 / 9 / 6 / 2
56.8% / 55 / 8 / 4 / 0
55.2% / 41 / 7 / 7 / 0
50.0% / 33 / 8 / 7 / 1

James
47.4% / 44 / 8 / 6 / 0
31.4% / 39 / 16 / 11 / 1
41.2% / 40 / 12 / 8 / 4

After 3 games of a best of 7 Series to call this the best of all time is kind of stupid. Nobody remembers the 1969 Finals...some mighty damn good basketball Jerry West was Lebron like
