I think that was the 1st time B&B had Jay on as a guest. Which is amazing since the Hawks have had deep playoff runs for 7 years now and Jay has been the SCORE's hockey expert.

As I've said before, Jay knows his shit and he's very likable. Rare for a SCORE guy.

He also talked about the real fans not wanting the game to change for more brand/appeal. Said that if they don't lose beards and change my "favorite band" as he put it would go away. Um no it won't. It may not ever be the NBA and that is fine. They are in the midst of a 10 year huge by their standards tv contract. They are not going anywhere. Why are people so obsessed with ratings/brands/growth? :twisted:

Terry earlier on said everyone in the media was against them on the NBA exec beard thing. Danny authoritatively pronounced that they are all wrong. B&B are to lazy to really learn any hockey beyond youth league and what they read. They do not talk about it and when someone calls they bluff or dismiss. Useless and lazy.

Not a bad show today after the obligatory Lebron James public service announcement was done with. They shotgunned a guy who wanted to talk about the US Men's soccer wins over Germany and Holland :lol:

I thought Uncle Teary looked healthy on the stream. Healthy for him, anyway. Dan just looked gray. Even his skin was ashen.

That's what I remember. Once the decision became overwhelmingly unpopular and James became universally disliked he became his greatest champion. It all just seems contrived.

I know that the thing that has prevented me from embracing hockey is beards and not the fact that the sport was virtually unassailable to me as a youth. All polish jokes about skis aside, my dad didn't skate, his dad didn't skate and I don't really skate.

Last years finals was awful with nearly every game ending in a blowout. The 2013 Finals was probably the best finals series in a generation.
