Friday: 3:05 p.m., WGN-9.
RH Johnny Cueto (4-4, 2.64) vs. RH Jason Hammel (5-2, 2.76).

Saturday: 6:15 p.m., FOX-32.
RH Mike Leake (3-4, 4.29) vs. RH Kyle Hendricks (2-2, 3.96).

Right field bleachers open tonight.

I'm a left field guy myself.

yup, with them being decent it's going to become quite the shitshow out there.

just went on stub hub to look if maybe i can snag some cheap bleacher tix for friday afternoon game. the weather looks to be decent albeit a scattered storm in the afternoon. the lowest tix start at....$72. i had $25 - $30 as my number

i'll wait until friday and perhaps snag some outside wrigley.

Two games in a row the offense has showed up

Cubs need to take care of Cincy as they have brutal stretch coming up with CLE, MIN, LAD, STL and MET. June is going to determine whether the Cubs are for real.

Or still down to .333.

But trending upward is always a good thing.

The Tribe, Twins, and Mets don't scare anyone.

Castro needs to hit 6th. Lefty-righty alternating be damned. You can't bat him in front of the pitcher, he'll never get a pitch he knows how to hit.

He really needs to be batting 9th, but Russell is going to need the entire year in the #9 spot.

Lester needs to go 7 innings and give up 2 runs or less tonight. The bullpen needs some rest. Another offensive outburst by the Cubs that would allow Travis Wood, or some other relief pitcher to throw the 8th and 9th, without using Strop, Rondon, Motte or Grimm would be nice. But it all starts with Lester breaking out from his 4 game winless streak and being the pitcher he's supposed to be. I knew they overpaid for Lester when they signed him and said as much, but I expected him to win 17 or more games with an ERA in the low 3's, not be below .500 with an ERA of 4.25. Still plenty of season left to get things turned around for him. But if they are to contend for a wild card, he needs to be better.

This DiSciafani kid doesn't seem like he has overwhelming stuff, but the Cub hitters are not doing much so far. Good pitchers duel so far.

2 great catches by Jay Bruce in this series. Explains why they continue playing a guy who has hit so poorly.....Hope he pulls a hammy!

Looked to me like Coghlan should have caught that ball hit by Frazier. Don't think he took a great route. Great tag by Ross to prevent the run by Phillips.

They must time Ross with a sun dial. My God, he was slow getting to 2nd on that double down the Lf line. Nice execution on the bunt by Herrera!
