She literally lies about being black, having a black father, growing up black, having to endure racist encounters because she's black, listing herself as black or biracial, and is butthurt about not being allowed to literally make shit up with impunity.

Perhaps there are more fun examples of her egoist escapades, but that's all I've happened to ahve seen today and for me is more than enough for her to be ushered quite gruffly faux-nappy-headlong into the nearest woodchipper.

Why? It doesn't hurt you in any way. You know it will not only hurt your child but embarrass them in a way that none of us can imagine. If you didn't have a relationship with your child doing something similar wouldn't help IMO.

publicly proclaimed that they were black, had been raised in a teepee and passed off pictures of
one of their siblings as their son?
I'd probably just take it in stride and shrug my shoulders.

You can say the same if your child decided they wanted to be the opposite sex. Reality is your actions would be selfish. No doubt I would be hurt if one of my kids acted as if I didn't exist. I wouldn't try to hurt them in return because that would only push them away more. Repairing the relationship would be more important than my hurt feelings.

I just don't see how it is right to let anybody knowingly not tell the truth about something, and get away with it. Especially people that are in a position of power.

I understand what you are saying about not hurting the kid. You are right. Correcting the lies doesn't do anything positive for any of the parties. Denying your heritage is far different, though, from wanting to be another sex. That is totally personal and does not deny the rest of the family.

But, if true, she may have taken a spot the was open for someone who did a bit more than "identify" as being "black."

But if anyone can identify and lie about being this or that for whatever reasons I guess we should probably do away with quotas and such.
