Because that's been proven time and again to be the best answer.

Time and money would be much better spent on figuring out the why and how he reached this point, and over time doing the same to the subsequent ones, and maybe someday reach a point where we can being actually preventing these things from happening in the first place.

It's not as sexy as killing him or profitable as life in a private prison, but hell, maybe we should try to be rational and responsible adult about this kind of thing for a change.

The point is "why does anyone give a shit what Vince Vaughn thinks about gun laws"? I did not even hear about this story and if I did I would have PTFB. And the reason it gets covered is because he's Vince Vaughn. You know what else makes the news cycles? Cat videos going viral. It's like everyone is surprised or outraged when an actor/actress/rock star comments on social issues. This is not going away anytime soon.

Nobody cares what he thinks. That's why he was roundly mocked. He is another in a long list of Hollywood types who shouldn't talk about serious issues. I find it funny when these idiots get exposed.

Give me a list of who I should and should not comment on in the future.
