I don't agree with that at all.

I understand. My grandparents wouldn't have either. Probably Seacrest doesn't. But that viewpoint strikes me as a patriarchal vestige from a time past, where the man is some weak-willed victim of his own sexual desires and the woman is a predatorial hussy or homewrecker who should be forced to wear an "A" on her tunic. Sharp already wears the "A" so I think we have it right.

So no apology because lawyers advised that would be an admission of guilt.

He deleted the post, however, which could be seen as an admission of guilt.

The Score suspended him for one day which is an admission of guilt by THE SCORE for its employee. Granted, he did it on twitter. Not the Score air waves. But a good lawyer could get the last 4 or 5 months of B&B podcasts and see that Bernstein and Boers said similar things to that tweet. So CBS could get sued as well as Bernstein himself. And the lawyer always wants to go after the bigger fish cuz there is more money to be had.

Cheryl is allowing people to post the Feder link and the NY post link of the Bernstein story on her facebook timeline. Somebody asked her to sue him.

Why is the New York Post even being referenced in this story? It’s being thrown out there as if it were the Holy Grail of journalism. The New York Post is a sensationalistic tabloid with a shady reputation. It is not considered a reputable newspaper.

I don't get your point. NY post is a rag, but they're just reporting the Bernstein story. What's the problem?

The fact that these 2 stories will be floating around the internet forever is so awesome.

The Bulls reporter incident was just pyramid scheme wine loosening up Dan to the point that he said what he really feels and crashed through his phony MSNBC filter.

The Cheryl Scott thing has to have something more behind it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sharp did hook up with her but who cares?
Dan's the biggest NBA fan there so why would an athlete cheating on their wife be a big deal?

Then he seemed to go out of his way to bash Sharp and literally makeup stories about him as an end justifies the means deal because he took Cheryl.
It almost as he had an over the top Larry like crush on her and after some pyramid scheme wine he had the balls to hit on her. She then looked down at his creepy hunchbacked body and laughed in his face and told him to go back to Heckle.
OR
He's just a really, really weird guy who picks straw men and woman on the radio and in real life to compensate for his dark issues that happened at "CAMP".

I went to that camp, I dont think anything happened, but his very strange connection of sending his kid there as well and maintains friendships with the owners, like it was a school ....shows his lack of being a part of any team or other organization....except camp...and yes, he is then angry with those athletes on teams from his past....and these attempts to tear down guys is what manifests from it.

The kid going there is a product of social pressures, as my nephew attends the same camp and is just into sports as I remember a young Bernstein was....that camp has few sports, its the feelings camp. 'Throw your wish stick into the fire stuff"....ya , got the low down from the nephew on some of the pussy shit they do there. They go there because "Moms" love it. Great marketing plan, gotta give them credit. My sister fell for it 100%..."Its less competitve than other camps"

At the age of 8, I recognized the place was for pussies and left, wanted to play sports, not make leather belts all day. Went to another camp for the next 4 years, played sports everyday in some form or other. Played against other camps in various sports and yes....sometimes WE LOST! and we had to stand by and watch the other camp hoist a trophy! Northstar doesnt do that and they proudly tell you that. Dont worry, still made a belt, but just one....not one a week!

I do not care to judge Bernsie on his kid going to camp as I went two weeks a year to boy scout camp. That said his kid cannot be an awesome pitcher as this is prime travel and little league time right?

Even my nephew who is a absolute middle of the road player. Reliable, but not a star in anyway, doesnt even go until next month due to travel games and I am sure they play the Welles Park team....

At the same time, I think Travel is a complete joke for kids that age. That is 100% the parents making their kids to be on some path to stardom. Play 1 game a week in House league and practice 2 or 3 days a week. Much better for developing a player. Look at the number of Major leaguers who say they had or had access to a cage, thats what they need ...reps...not to drive 3 hours for 4 abs..

I have no whores in this race, but it seems 1-day suspension of @dan_bernstein really means screwing around no big deal. Where's outrage?

It seems like kids now are either booked to the hilt with travel leagues or they never get off their iPads and don't play outside. No middle ground. Is this accurate?

No.

Baseball's popularity has dropped with kids, thus necessitating travel ball in some places just to find a competitive game. Biggie is right though about the need for more practice though.

But those things go hand in hand. Most kids today only play baseball under conditions strictly organized by adults. Their practice time is limited. For example, I think it's safe to say that by the time he was 16 years old my father had fielded more ground balls at short than the average American infielder of today has by the time he reaches the big leagues.

Too much downtime in baseball for many kids.

Standing around in the outfield with nothing to do. Especially at ages under 12 or so.

I sucked when I played Junior league and little league...we practiced once a week for 2 hours, so I got 7 swings, caught (or tried to catch) 3 balls and went home....maybe got 1 AB and played RF.

Yet, on Sundays or After a game on Sat, or after school, we would play with a rubber ball baseball for hours...Sunday we might play 6 games, RF out, got 50 ABs. I would throw against the wall at my house for hours, filed the ball etc.

I didn't get to play pre minor league baseball* by doing nothing.

*Per a certain host, playing baseball on a DePaul club team qualifies as college level athletics and gets you a letter to almost be drafted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
