Have you gotten the feeling that it's something personal between him and Cheryl Scott? Why would he be out to make her look bad? It doesn't serve anyone well: not her, not the Blackhawks, certainly not himself. Knowing how Dan romanticizes capital-letter Broadcast Journalism with how he interned at channel 2 and watched people drink shitty coffee from styrofoam cups (it's always about coffee with him), does he resent that she's climbing to the top on looks over talent? I jokingly said yesterday that it was because he was jealous that Cheryl took Sir's attention from Dan. Maybe he isn't jealous but it isn't all that crazy to think he would like shitting all over something or someone that another person liked just because.

Leery's love for his sister is a passing fancy to be forgotten when she fucks her way to New York or Los Angeles. His love for Dan is a love for the ages.

Everyone is over-thinking it. Dan has a face made for radio and knows that he'll likely never ascend to on-air talent. I'm sure when he was just starting out, he had much higher aspirations - maybe a career similar to Mike Greenberg or Costas. Whatever it was, I'll bet that it was more than doing afternoons on a sports radio talker. It drives him crazy that he's basically doing the same job as Mike North, Mike Murphy, etc. So who does he go after? The 'pretty' peeps that manage to get cushy TV gigs based almost exclusively on their looks like Cheryl Scott and Aiyana Cristal. Sure, he makes a ton of money (relatively speaking), but at the end of the day, he's a local C-level celebrity that thinks he deserves/deserved more and he's bitter as hell.

oh he's incredibly bitter no doubt. the sour attitude he has about sports and many things in life is proof of that.

How many people watch Good Morning America or Today type shows? I don't really think of Zee, Scott, or Cristal as above C level celebrities. They are all very replaceable too.
