It's in a comic book type format ... and not short ... but to expect an examination of the topic(s) to be short is pretty dumb.

Ok good for a short laugh. Free markets require free trade. Americans are quite fearful of competition, but we are exceptional.

If you disagree, I'm pretty confident he's on to something.

Free Trade is one of the most misunderstood economic topics. Let's say we had true Free Trade, but I wanted to change that. I was going to do that by taxing goods coming into the country (a sales tax) of 25%, would most Americans favor that? Your tv from Korea will now cost you 25% more.

There are other areas that are important like patent protections, custom clearance, regulatory rules that all serve to block and protect the free flow of goods.

But yes, disagreeing with me is always a good reason to dislike something!

Relax Billy, it wasn't meant seriously. I thought I'd put the winky thing in there but clearly did not.

That said, the other issues brought up by him are absolutely part and parcel of the potential problems that not only might come out of this thing, but also already have come out of previous similar ones.

These kind of deals never help the pee-ons. Generally the folks that don't care can afford to ... for now anyway.
