I agree they are fucked up in many ways...but in their defense, there have been times where they want to enforce federal laws (e.g., immigration) --even using their own money-- and the feds have prohibited them from doing so.

I think I read something recently where Vladimir Putin recommended they secede.

My Cubs trip to Minute Maid was a few years back. At the first game, we sat next to some interesting people. It was an older guy, three mid-20's girls and a mid-20's guys. We found out that two of the girls were the older guy's daughters. One was the husband, and another was a friend. The dad was a former Yankees base coach. He knew everything about the players and always told us interesting stories. The daughter/husband left the game early. The other daughter and her friend ending up following us to a local bar after the game. They begged us to come party with them back in Galveston. We seriously considered making the drive, but we had tickets to the game the next day and then off to Vegas. We ended up staying in Houston although I am still not sure how it worked out with the girls and some of my friends.
