I wouldn't call them shitheads, but when Toews spends a month at the zoo putting up zero points in twelve games or whatever, let's not pretend that isn't a problem.

For whatever it's worth, I don't recall having any OH MY GOD ARE YOU EVEN ON THIS FUCKING TEAM moments with Kane in the second half of the year. Then again, for part of the second half, he wasn't.

Best player on a team that's won 3 cups in 6 years. There is no problem

I would care if he score 10 if he leads them to a other cup.
This is like a Cubs fan seeing the Cubs win a world series and bitching that Bryant only hit 20 home runs.

It's not like Toews is dragging a dead ass team to these 3 Cups. The Hawks were largely the league's most stacked team excluding this year's Cup.

Can't wait to see Tavares get 80 and exit in the first round.

Fuck. I thought Saad was gonna get $5 million a year. Apparently he wanted $4 mil per. Not sure why Stan didnt offer him 4 years at $4 mil per year. However, the Hawks are fucking loaded with talent in their system. They wont skip a beat without Saad. I feel bad that he has to play in Columbus though.

Funny, that's what makes me feel better about him being gone. He demanded too much money and got exiled to Columbus: what Madison would be if IMU took it over.

They won't. They're going deep.

Regular seasons stats? Are you fucking kidding me?!?

And you people are dumb that don't like the move, because there's nothing to like about it, it's taking the best of the shitty options available in the real world.

Perhaps you would like a certain #87 taking all the money with Malkin and Letang and not win shit? He will give you your precious points..... and dives..... and little defense.... and pressuring management to keep players he like that are bad. AND WIN NOTHING.

Jesus Christ.

Toews and Kane account for more of the cap than Crosby and Malkin do.

Duh, they are about to get another contract. And Pens have Fleury and albatross Letang.

Two things. One you act like only the Hawks have cap issues. You know your damn self the floor is the problem. And two you want flash. Take Crosby or Ovechkin and you will lose. Pens have not one since the year before the Hawks first one.

Allow me to channel my inner RFDC.

You would have bitched if they signed him to a 6.5 mill for 5 or 6 years deal. That would have fucked the roster. For a while. Had they waited for the match sheet they'd still not have him. Maybe get some draft picks they'd trade for mid to late season help, and likely getting less than they got in trade here.

Sure. We like Saad. Let's not wig out yet. CH bitch in about Toews screwing up this roster? OK I guess we forgot those three engravings on the cup. Sharp had a down year sure we agree but he screwed up the roster too? His name is on the cup three times. Let's not kill ourselves yet.

Window closed? Where have I heard that before. Oh yeah, in the Conference finals thread. Oh yeah and again in the Cup Final thread. And like every other game during the season from January on. Yet a banner will again be raised in the UC in October won't it.

We've been thru this before. Remember?

I don't think I'm wrong to be concerned about the regular season. The Hawks and Kings are two sides of the same coin: they each play hard for half the season and play like utter shit for the other half. The Hawks like to play balls-out to start the season and then stop caring, the Kings coast early and come on strong. It won the Cup for the Kings last year (2012 became a totally different team with Jeff Carter) and the Hawks this year (the Hawks were pretty damn good all year in 09-10 and sprinted through 2013), but it also bit the Kings in the ass this year, and that was in the easier division of the West. Los Angeles should be back in the playoffs next year after missing this one on Calgary and Winnipeg's late pushes. I wouldn't be shocked at all if our guys New-Year's-slump their way out of the playoffs next season.

I have no other explanation for CH. I genuinely like him but at times he aggravates me so much.

I like him too. He knows his hockey that is indisputable. But he really does seem to hate the Hawks. I said in the conference final thread that if the Hawks won the Cup he would be more miserable than the lightning fans. I think I was right.
