Yeah, they're day olds. The homeless won't even touch them. Oh, we try to fool them by putting a few fresh ones on top, but they dig. They test.

Krispey Kreme is just nasty...too much glaze...I always feel ill after just one.

Lunch today was ordered in from the local Greek-type carry a little bit of everything restaurant.

Had a chicken kabob with rice and greek potatoes.

I work at Madison/Wacker. There are no fucking good options within 2-3 blocks. It sucks. I've been eating Jimmy John's lately, which I feel very guilty about.

I like it...the sesame chicken is tasty as hell. I like that they have chicken egg rolls, too.

Probably my best Chinese option for lunch here in Wheeling.

I know what it's called. My former father-in-law's grandfather was one of the founders. My father-in-law was constantly nagging me to join the fucking place. I've eaten there more times than I care to think about. I was nearly forced to have my wedding there.

If I lived in the city I would consider joining. Its a grand place. They lost a lot of members in recent years & were recruiting hard & the dues are reasonable.

Well, I've heard they're trying to make it into the 20th Century. Then they'll only be 100 years behind.

Our office was in Libertyville and we used to use the club as a downtown office. It was good in that regard.

It was very special place to my father-in-law. He had been going there since he was a kid and was a member since he was a young man. I never had any interest in joining. Just another few hundred balloons to add to my monthly nut. I suppose there is a certain cachet in taking clients for lunch at an old line club. The old man liked to play squash there. I believe he was the club champion one year.

We did some business with a young guy (at the time)- probably about my age- named Todd Davis. My father-in-law took a shine to this guy. He was always getting infatuated with these younger guys who he would call "brilliant". Most were douchebags. (I should know. I was one of them.) Todd was an okay guy. My father-in-law had sponsored Todd for membership. But somehow he got sideways with the old man who forced him to resign from the club. This became a running joke among our associates.

Turkey Reuben from Once Upon a Grill's sister store Once Upon a Cafe, which is closer to my office.

Just waiting for the Mariano's to open across the street so I can start making that my regular place. Joining LA Fitness this week and plan to workout during lunch and then stop at Mariano's to bring something quick and healthy back to the office.

Summer + golf - hockey = me fatter than usual.
