^ those number are worse than the White Sox who have scored the least runs in MLB. Baseball nerds call that "no good"

Thats why these guys are at least a year and probably 2 away from being serious contenders. Can't wait to see how Lester will pitch with 2 more years on his arm.

just fine. not throwing to first, or second, or third has saved a lot of wear and tear.

plus getting pulled after the 5th every start this year should keep lengthen his career.

The stench of Danny Jackson is on him.

Yeah great slide.
What's bothering me is that it took 4 umpires to figure out that play on the blown squeeze. How the hell did they fuck that up? A little league ump would get that right.

The runner advancing from 2nd was on the base and safe. The guy going back was out when he tagged the base with a runner on it. He also over ran the base, which essentially didn't matter.

I wish the Cubs could always play the NL East.

A few years ago that would have been crazy talk.

Didn't catch the game, but box score looks promising? Lester 7 IP zero runs ..2 game win streak ! Lester @ 3.74 era ... He's resilient.. Let's get that down to below 3.25 n everybody will shut up. Still right in the W C. Picture before the deadline. Schwarber needs to come up n play left..fuck being a catcher.

Rizzo has been the fucking man...what a slide into third. (Was he joking with the Mets dugout after... "it's just magic"?)

His baseball IQ continues to impress.

i have no faith chickenhead can deliver the result he did last night. other teams can actually hit his frisbee trash.

as I said before the series started, Cubs pitching gets healthy on these Mets. The good thing for you is they should continue against the Marlins and Sox as well. I wouldn't draw any conclusions about their quality from it

Yeah, you're right...strange that the Mets are on the 1B side. Also just read that Maddon had brought in a magician to the clubhouse, which must've prompted the magic joke.

EDIT: I guess it's not so strange that the Mets are on 1B side...it's more common than I thought.

boy is there still time for the mets to offer up syndergaard and matz for chris coghlan? it's getting pretty desperate out there and i don't think darrell ciccarelli is the answer. also i'm pretty sure that david wright is overseeing a commando unit forcing a regime change on some little blood diamond republic in africa right now or some other kind of equally-important black op because that dude str8up vanished this season. last thing i remember hearing was that he was seeing some specialists in LA and he had some sort of shrinking spine problem?

...and then you gotta remember that david wright hasn't been david wright for a few years. that .315/25/100/20 guy is long long gone, as he was something like .290/7/75/2 last year. i remember him being a fantasy albatross cuz i got him in a trade thinking "hey unique buy low opportunity!" and then being saddled with a guy on the can't cut list like HOLY SHIT SOMEONE PLZ TAKE HIM OFF OF MY TEAM FOR ANYONE! ANYONE I TELL YOU! and i barely got that to work. so yeah when THAT guy is your great offensive hope..... hmmmmm. maybe degrom syndergaard and matz for coghlan and denorfia? might have to get greedy here if you're the mets. they need to fix this and since every cubbie is sprinkled with fairy dust (or perhaps magic strobed out "dj riz" brand smoke) they can help the mets do something other than choke away a 15-4 start or whatever it was.
