Just saw it on IMAX.

The plot line is incomprehensible. It seems half the movie is trying to justify the timeline with reasons it's being moved from one decade to another. The humor is sorely lacking in this movie and the plot is just rehashed BS but the action is great. For the action sequences alone I give the movie 3 out 4 stars.

IMAX: 11.50

Coke & Nachos: 15

26.50 for a movie. I usually go for the regular non-3D screens for 6.50.

The only thing I have that is reduced is my heart rate.

This guy does a fine job reviewing the movie, hitting on the same points about the time-travel mumble jumble. I just feel that the action scenes make it passable for a summer popcorn movie.

I didn't find it incomprehensible or confusing at all. I think I've seen enough time travel movies though...this one is no different with its plot conveniences and whatnot. The film isn't believable but it's not really packaged to be. I thought it was just fun, with not enough depth of T2 to be considered a classic but not dour enough to be "Salvation". One thing that's bugged me is...why can they never find the right guy to play John Connor. I liked Jason Clarke an awful lot in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", but here he's kind of stiff and cliche'd. The script isn't great. It uses the same tropes that all sci-fi yarns do and doesn't bring much new to the genre...but it is nice to see Arnold again. he was sorely missed in "Salvation". he just brings enough charisma to make it entertaining. i think without him, this would have been barely passable.

i also didn't particularly like the actor who played Reese. If anything just use Anton Yelchin again...he was supposed to be young anyway. Yelchin's a charismatic guy and he would've passed fine. This guy looks like he belongs in a Fast & Furious or Transporter movie (oh hai, Daario). And Emilia Clarke is just wrong as Sarah. Every time she tries to act tough, her doughy baby eyes just completely betray the demeanor as a badass.

Overall, though, i was entertained. it was not nearly as enjoyable or popcorn-fun as "Jurassic World" but i certainly had a good enough time to recommend it to Terminator fans or action fans in general.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

and stop with skynet being a taunting villain! good god...machines don't taunt! yeesh.

Go find the story about James Cameron selling the rights to the Terminator for $1! However, he had to be the director, so he gets paid...but he gets them back again in 2019...so look for something really cool then...

Yeah, your full of crap! Check out Rotten Tomatoes. The storyline is confusing as hell. I still gave it 3 stars like you did but don't act like your Einstein to a multitude of reviewers Jethro Clampett.

i swear jimmy, i've seen like every time travel story so it's not that hard to follow. all it has to do with is avenues that time continuums create out of whatever the writer wants.

It seems like the future of moviemaking is in finding a popular movie, squeezing every last drop out of it through sequals then destroying the memory of the original in reboots

At least Fury Road was every bit the equal of the original Mad Max/Road Warrior, if not better.

Sort of "robot-like" :D

I saw this Friday with my father in law...I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I didn't find the time jumping confusing, either...

Saw the trailer for the new Adam Sandler/Kevin James abortion as well...makes me glad I go to like 2 or 3 movies a year...it looks like absolute shit.
