Yes, once another White Sox prodigy.....traded for Peavy.

Give the guy credit for a pretty cool contract, that I have never seen giving him a 72 hour window in the middle of the season for any team to just buy him.

Then an overall nice lefty junk baller outing. Scattered 8 hits, tons of ground balls...fielded 5 of them hiimself.

Nice career revival....not expecting anything more than he gave them last night....and still looking for more pitching, but every little bit helps.

Richard won a game and didn't cost anything but some cash. Maybe they found they're 4/5 starter for nothing. I'm not willing to give up prospects for marginal stating pitching at this point, as I don't think the Cub are ready this year. Wait till the offseason to see what's out there. I'm not at all interested in Cole at this point.

No worries, Matt. Even the dimest of bulbs finally see the light. Nice to see you've finally flipped the switch.

Perhaps, I did. I'll go with that. I only post from my iPhone now. It does what it wants to do. I'm nothing more than a slave to technology.

Agree.

I hope we get another 2-3 wins out of him. Everything else is gravy.

As far as I'm concerned, everything else is gravy now. It only cost us cash. Monetize everything.

Well, yeah. As long as I'm only required to look into one of your eyes. I'd have to move about 75 degrees to look into the other one.

Nah, I've already had my nap after the Cub win. I'm ready to rock and roll.

I think Richard might have some gas left.I'm just shocked the Cubs got him from a team they are chasing for basically nothing.

Happy that the element of surprise got them a win. I mean seriously, which team advance scouted Clayton Richard in case the Cubs would buy him??

If they can trade Wood for a useful bench part and a useful minor leaguer, or include him in a bigger deal to a team like the Phillies, then Richard can move into the long man lefty role until rosters expand.

Nobody is taking travis Wood now...and I am not sure I want to trade him...The way Maddon uses pitchers....we need as many arms as we can get.
