desperate attempt to re write season 1 ending

So, who is the father of the red headed kid because he sure doesn't look like the product of the mother and the supposed rapist. That one looked like a setup hit from the beginning.

I've read some speculation that it could be the red-haired guy in Vaughn's crew. Also, they've lingered on him here and there with the camera like last night when he was going into the club.

Vaughn used Farrell to kill that other guy and get Farrell in his pocket while simultaneously getting his own guy off the hook.

and what sex act was too repulsive for the guy in the opening scene. The type of act speaks to Benezziti's character and could go one way or another.

Solid theory... But its the first ginger we seen thus far..n that kid is fat n ugly , I'm thinking Colin Ferrell killed sum fat red head that's his sons daddy . Vaughn whispers n mumbles its just bad , like I thought .. N McAdams overacts n she's ugly .. The slim chance that season 2 could live up to season 1 is long gone...

*some possible repeated spoilers below, but who cares?*

Slogged through E2 last night. Did not change my feelings much, other than it was the Frank storyline of his money disappearing with Caspere that initially made me grudgingly agree to turn the page and commit to E3; the sudden turn of events at the end kind of cemented that. Dammit.

I think my problem with this season is mainly the direction. Justin Lin just hammers you over the head with dark, dark, DARK. The lingering aerial shots of the city between scenes are super repetitive and tiresome (yes, Vinci is a depressing, industrial city; WE GET IT). There are almost no "normal" characters, save for Frank's wife and the hot Latina GF of Paul. Almost to a person, they are all alcoholics/damaged/abused/clammy-about-to-have-a-stroke or just plain out-and-out-weird - it's like Lin is trying to do a Lynch/Twin Peaks with this thing and just failing miserably (was that the Predator that shot Ray? ). I still don't really give a shit about the characters. After the laughable bar scene toward the end of the first episode, he does it AGAIN with the second (the world's most depressing live music in the world's most depressing bar), although at least it had some spin toward what happened next. I was almost happy to see Ray get it, as it removes one morose character; unfortunately, we still have to deal with the rest. Whereas Season 1 was a character study that slowly peeled away the layers of the onions, in S2 the onions were thrown right into the food processor. Again, the only character of any real interest is Frank, and that's not saying much. VV is doing a marginally decent job, although it's ironic that his character grew up in Chicago, yet he has a Chicago accent that seems to drift in-and-out, and when it is there it sounds like an actor doing a bad Chicago accent.

I'm gonna give it one, maybe two more episodes to see where it goes, but IMO this is nowhere near as good as S1 was; not by a long shot.

Who you kidding, you're watching the whole damn thing. I am confused as hell. I consider it marginal entertainment.

He got scared?

I'm not buying that. She hates men. It had to be something degrading or sufficiently outrageous that most men would decline, which causes them humiliation.

It probably had something to do with her knife collection.

Now that I think about it, you're probably right. She does hate men. She probably said "Hey, can I stick this up your ass and then light you on fire?"

I think you guys have overrated Season 1 so severely that it won't enable you to enjoy this show.

Guess what? Season 1 wasn't that good. McConaughey and Harrelson are good actors that work very well with each other. Those characters were well done. But the story, cinematography, et cetera...wasn't that memorable.

This is the same show, minus the cool / twisted interaction between two strong actors.

Looking at the Season 1 thread, which I did last week after having watched it...all of you were hoping the story would go in some elaborate direction...some of you thought huge conspiracy...some of you thought the main characters were culprits....some wanted a sci-fi / spiritual type reveal. None of you wanted some random killer with no little involvement in the story and virtually no end-of-story payoff. You were all disappointed.

This is the same show...except now you know it is heavily a procedural without a twist.

Season 1 was great with a horrible conclusion - which I rewatched and wasn't quite so bad.

This season just sucks.

The first few episodes of Season 1 were very well done. I don't know if "Season 1" was great, since a show's conclusion is a large part of it. And when four episodes in an eight episode season are average or worse....

Ep 5 was probably the best. Could be wrong but I think that was the biker gang 10 minute continuous take escape.

The tracking shot was Episode 4. That was really good. For me, it went downhill from there.

I always thought the turning point was when Rust left the interrogation room.

The anticipation and suspense of season 1 is what made it good. Sure, the ending was disappointing. But it was a thrill to watch before the ending. I mean you didn't know the ending was gonna suck. So it was a good ride.

This season you kind of know where it's going. So it sucks. I'll stay with it. What? It's just 5 or 6 more? What the hell else is there? Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN? No thanks.

Nah. I'm now at the point where I don't give a shit about baseball unless it's the Sox or Cubs. Mostly Sox unless they're bad. Which they are. And I'm watching the Cubs cuz they are interesting.

I have no interest in national games. I don't know players from other teams anymore.

This season entered fun bad last night. Starting with the cheap rubber bullets and all the way through the episode with such well known tv tropes as "the self hating gay" and "alcoholic abusive probably racist older cop"

Im enjoying the show by anticipating what the internet's reaction to it will be.

Im not sure if McAdams is a bad actress or if its just a stupid role.

Farrell is decent and Vaughn has been less bad than I thought (still bad)

I think Vaughn has been fine. And I don't like his work, as a general rule.

He may be better at drama than comedy.

I just had to read the Wikipedia summaries to sorta understand what I have been watching. Almost ready to tap out of this season.

It's been ok. I came into this with an open mind which is more than I can say for the masses latching on expecting something that would blow their hair back
like last year. The writing hasn't been too bad, the acting has been questionable. I can't figure out the Vaughn character but when I watch him I can tell he is
trying to act and it isn't natural. I also haven't been able to connect with the Chips cop. So mechanical. No major complaints with McAdams and Farrell. I find
it to be relatively interesting and watchable. The shootout last night was a bit drawn out but interesting at least. The slimy cop that got capped I kinda had my
eye on so it was interesting to see him get greased.
