I will spell it out for you. NONE of them have proven to be effective at evaluating talent. But ONE of them was a highly successful major league baseball player.

One has little to nothing to do with the other. There have been countless good players that were bad managers and front office execs, and there have been great managers and front office execs that never played affiliated ball.
