Don't fret about it. Someone has to pick up the garbage.

went to two more interviews today. both want me to start next week. and the last company that fell through a week ago called me back this morning and offered me the job on a change of mind. now i need to divide into 3 people and make a shitload of cash  also, theres an IT company that is likely going to have me come in next week as well... actually dont even know what to do at this point. two of the 3 'for sures' seem real solid and fun work, the other is higher pay but its construction and im pretty sick of production based construction. anyway, gotta go blow the little money i have left on some holiday fun. happy 4th bitches!

Ike are these job interviews mere fantasies or are your skills really in high demand? I applaud you if you have such robust job prospects.

im a long time electrician with management history and i communicate well... i dont know about high demand but i do have more skills than most applicants from what im regularly told. it must be true because the one guy offered me $40k no bennies and i played hardball until he caved to $50k. i was just being honest though, i wasnt excited about a $40k job if i had to pay for all the benefits. i know in illinois i would get at least $60k but this isnt illinois.. $50k really is a good wage especially starting at a new place.

im also not just a construction electrician, but all inclusive electronics guy... i go component level and even design simple circuits when i need something that you cant buy off the shelf. thats why im probably going to take this industrial maintenance position because it will involve a lot of ingenuity... they can buy whatever parts they need but a lot of times its not cost effective to wait a week to get them in, so i will need to cobble whatever i can to get the machines working again. should be fun honestly, and i really did like these guys. theyre real laid back and we talked for a couple hours about lots of stuff outside of work... i think its going to be a great fit.

i think im at least getting an interview. i contacted them initially with my resume and cover letter, and they directed me to the full application and wanted me to fill it out by monday. this would be a tough decision if they offer me a job, i would have 3 jobs all offering similar wages and similar long term outlooks. the more i keep thinking about it the harder the decision is becoming.
