What is the difference between Lackey and Lester? Holding runners you mean?

They can't beat these guys and Castro is a loser like I've always said. Bryant throws like a girl.

Every single Lester gives up is actually a double.

Pitching out of trouble.

Lester got the double play ground ball. You cant put that on him and give Lackey credit for the same thing. Its not like Lackey pitched over an error.

Same Lester as he's always been. Typical 7ip 2runs start. That usually gets you a win.

So just last week best manager in the galaxy on The Purps and Slappy show says they have metrics showing the Cubs would score 10 more runs a year with Fowler as the lead off guy opposed to anyone else on the team and thats why they haven't moved him down despite his struggles. Here we are a week later and he's batting 7th. Guess the metrics changed.

He's about to drop to 4-7. First sign of trouble tonight and he can't pitch over it. Guess he's just unlucky.

punch bunt something on the grass btw the mound and either bag and you'll likely leg out an infield single in these conditions.

I'd be bitter too after all these years. Someday things will get better. Keep signing those FA pitchers. There's no way in hell #ThePlan fails. Not a chance. Book the parade route now!

Kinda silly to be playing in this kind of downpour. It probably should be called.

Classy cardinals fans in this thread.
What a swell group of fans.
Only fans I can't stand more are fucking Vancouver fans. They're just barely more obnoxious. Not by much. But a bit.

 I'll just sit idly by as my team is torn to shreds and death threats are thrown around. Yeah, I'm the one not being classy. The last ten years were so nice when Cubs fans didnt make a peep. They sniff .500 and all these twats are coming out of the woodwork.

People see what they want I guess. I see a bunch of whiny bitches regardless of affiliation.

Its hard to rage. I know they're still a year or probably 2 away. They aren't good enough yet to compete with the big dogs. Reminds of the early Toews and Kane years with the Blackhawks( before they became overpaid greedy fucks mind you) with Detroit. You could see they were on the come but still not quite there yet to consistently beat them.

I'm not raging at all. This year so far has been a pleasant surprise. It's been nice to turn on the game on any given day and they can win. That's not been the case over the last 5 years.

I think the fashion the Cubs have found ways to lose to the Cardinals this season is what makes me go over the top meatball. Everytime I think the Cubs got these guys, just for even one game, it all goes to shit in the blink of an eye. I guess as a Cubs fan I could be grateful that the team is in a position to make me give a shit so much again but at the same time I feel cursed. Them purposely sucking for a few years was easier on my physical and mental health. This franchise is going to kill me one day.
