Complaining about Castro's offense and wanting .561 OPS Herrera to play?

Correct as a stopgap until Baez/La Stella return.

I want the superior defender in Russell back in natural position. Where he can get comfortable at the position he'll man for the next 15 years at the MLB level.

With Herrera you'll receive fundamentally sound baseball until the two injured candidates return. No bone headed errors. Gets the runner over. Sac flies when needed.

This allows Castro to follow his true passion of chomping through a jumbo bucket of seeds everyday.

:lol:

Russell has 10 errors in 587 innings. .966 fielding percentage

Castro has 15 errors in 706 innings. .960 fielding percentage

Not a huge difference. And I want to say Russell has screwed up more DP turns than Castro has, and those don't count as errors. Also, at SS he does not take charge of popups and it showed a few games ago.

When has Russell proven to you that he is a smart hitter? He strikes out way more than his power or OBP should allow. And Herrera? He has one good bunt and three total extra base hits all season.

You're embodying everything terrible about Cubs fans.

Russell is playing a brand new position. Learning brand new footwork at the MLB level. He's running for his life trying to turn boneheaded tosses from Sunflower Chomper and Bryant. Russell has 10x the fielding instincts. You see him going deep in 2B snagging balls.

Russell a 21 y/o in his 1st year seeing MLB pitching. Castro is a vet and is caving hard at the plate.

I don't want a loser whose shown no improvement over the past 3 years. Get him off my team.

Terrible Cubs fans are the ones defending Castro. The dude is a bum. Jay Cutler of the Cubs.

Castro at bat,...

Closed stance, toe tap then opens stance with front foot going far back...making it very hard to hit outside pitch....Catchers then set up outside and he is reaching at everything.

He has played 5 games at short. One of those games resulted in two fucked up popups. The others have also included mistakes.

His minor league career fielding percentage is, of course, also .966. So ...try a different angle, guy.

The Kirkwood era is opening eyes to the truth of Castro. Some still choose to remain blind.

Well why does Theo still have him on the team trade him for pitching!

Okay, dude.

I'm just waiting for RFDC to show up and give me props for defending a Cubs player who is actually pretty decent from denigration at the hands of a fickle Cubs "fan".

:lol: you are a warrior JORR.

Remember 3.5 years ago when I said it was bad for an organization to teach its core players that it is OK to lose?

You mean the team that went into a generational long slide of losing?

Play meaningful games when it counts and produce then. I will wait for it and believe it when it happens. Not a fan. Hope he proves me wrong.

More crap defense by Russell at short.

And yet Rizzo is the best baseball player in Chicago. Keep the polish proverbs in Zakopane. They work better in coat negotiations

Cardinals= Russia
Cubs= Ukraine

White Sox= Pompeii
