No, I'm not wrong, that's my whole point. It shouldn't always be. Enough is enough with this team.

1985 has nothing to do with this thread. Bears fans are great fans. Having said that, nothing wrong with loving the best team in the history of the NFL.

^
Prime example

The Bears are essentially the Browns except they got laid once in high school. At least Browns fans acknowledge their franchise is a disaster. Majority of Bears fans are too dumb to notice.

I absolutely hate being a Bears fan. Sadly, there's nothing I can do about it now. They reeled me in.

I'm almost entirely ambivalent towards the Blackhawks, but more and more I want them to win just to sieze the city from the clutches of the Bears.

Agree with the Red Sox & Cowboys. Cubs, Packers, Cardinals, Bears, etc all have some asshat section of their fanbase, but there are a LOT of "good" fans of those teams as well.

Late though the most obnoxious fans are, and its not even close, fair weather/bandwagon Blackhawks fans. The guys that become Mr NHL once the playoffs start, but couldn't tell you who the backup goalie is in November.

Great point "Dave"

I would include asshat Sox fans who continuously post in the Cub section.

I know I'm skirting the rules of the thread, but I think the most obnoxious fanbases in college come from people who have no association with the school they are a fan of. I remember in Ohio when I was walking down the street with my pregnant wife wearing her Michigan shirt, getting a beer bottle thrown at us by some idiot driving by in a car that I seriously doubted the person could have gotten into Ohio State. I mean, an SEC school, sure, but not the big ten.

With that in mind, big ten fans are pretty obnoxious.

Even as a Bears fan I can admit that we are one of the worst fanbases in all of sports.

All fanbases are idiots, even the ones of the teams I like to root for. Fan=Fanatic

SEC fans.

Can you name any other fanbase that actually chants its CONFERENCE initials at games?

1. Notre Dame
2. Cubs - do not mistake this for me being a hater cause I'm not. That being said, any fan base that takes pride in being a lovable loser and can only argue on attendance wins is obnoxious. It's a great ballpark, it's a great neighborhood for fun, and I do think they will win it all within the next 5 years, but the period from the 90's through "in Dusty we Trusty" were a disgrace.
3. Bears - for exactly the reasons mentioned.
4. Yankees

honorable mention to all Philadelphia fan bases

Agreed...the worst are Notre Dame "Irish" fans who didn't even go to college.

I agree on college sports fans in general....especially those that never went to the fucking school they follow.

I don't mind the subway alums of college schools. You like who you like. De Paul fans were never considered annoying before they became extinct. It was Chicago's school. The southside ethnically Irish who adopted ND as their team because they are named after their nationality push the limits.

These people are easily spotted, as they are usually sporting one or more of the following: Blackhawks Shersey, Stanley Cup Champion license plate frame, or my favorite, the car window flag.

They aren't necessarily obnoxious, but definitely weird and creepy.
