Very sad and way too young to pass away. I had a huge crush on her from that movie.

She probably never truly got over Bobby leaving to Iowa and them coming back and slut shaming her.

It's from the movie "Can't Buy Me Love" an 80's teen classic which along with "Annie" would be the roles she's most known for.

(I've only seen her in Explorers ... I have no idea what anyone else here is talking about)

I remember the movie just fuzz on the Iowa part I guess. I was hot for the dark haired chick Patty in that and many other films of that ilk and era.

With Jon-Erik Hexum and Meeno Peluce?!?!

Oh, shit, that was Voyagers!. Nothing like catching an ALCOA Fantastic Finish and then watching these two hook Genghis Khan up with his 348th wife on a Sunday night.

I always thought this girl was hot from the Can't Buy Me Love poster but I never saw the movie.

That show really sticks with you doesn't it? Why?

I liked it. I liked the history stuff and Hexum was dreamy.

I just did a Wikipedia on her. Gotta say, I don't think I've seen any of her movies. If I did as a kid, I forgot them.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Peterson

But yeah, sad. Way too young. Do they suspect foul play?

How have you not seen can't buy me love?

My favorite episode of Voyagers is when Bogg dressed up as a gladiator.

I don't think I did. Movie poster doesn't ring a bell. But I do know that other guy from 80s and 90s movies. He was in that one movie where he was a hooker disguised as a pizza delivery guy. His clients were wives of rich husbands. That girl from Cheers was one of them.

Is that the time-travelling show that was cut short by the dope lead making a joke with a prop gun to his head, pulling the trigger, and snuffing it right then and there?

I think he died on the next show taking over for a drugged-up Jan-Michael Vincent.

If more people would have loved Voyagers! like I did, he likely would have lived 3 more years.

Yep.

I loved that show. Of course I was like 6 and 60 minutes grabbed the over 90 crowd like you so I lost out.

It was 1982. We owned a VCR.

I'm sorry you were poor.

We got a VCR in 1986. First thing we ever watched on it was Ghostbusters.
I was disappointed that we didn't see the movie in reverse when we rewound it.

My parent's got one in 1982. Those days, they had such an amazing "electronic new smell" if you know what I mean. The first watch was "9 to 5". Much of that movie was seen in 3D, by accident.
