Only 5 back in the Wild Card just start winning on the road...how ironic if they make the playoffs and the Cubs don't

This is the worst thing that could happen to them. They are not making the playoffs. But they may give everyone a little bit of hope and trick the management into not making any deals at the deadline and push them even farther behind

You have to be able to score too. This is a low scoring environment. A lot of teams have good pitching. Or at least pitching that isn't allowing many runs. The Sox bullpen is unremarkable and most games are decided with those guys. There's your argument against a starter's W/L record circa 2015.

One HR saving catch over the fence does not a season make.

Correct! A season is made with two Kris Bryant homers and a fireworks show.

The Bryant craze has to be killing JORR and Good Dolphin. Bryant has even surpassed Rizzo hype at this point.

This is a perfect example of the fact that you are not a clear eyed baseball fan like you want to proclaim.

Everyone talking about the Sox and their recent play and you just cannot help yourself but to bring up the Cubs.

Must be torture watching the Cubs on the rise while the Sox blow goats.

Understand, its not just the player. Not even going to argue it because he is "FAR BETTER", but the Hype...I dont even think it has been touched. I think MLB properties wants this kid for themselves and are going to limit the Cubs as much as they can to use his items, likeness, etc etc whenever they get a chance, to make him a face of the game.

Still need to know how Harper, Gallo and Bryant ever lost a little league game...considering Harper went pro at 18....?

Every one and I can clearly see you are the very first to bring up anything related to the Cubs.

This will be the first offseason they actually do RELOAD, too bad they already blew that term on the rebuild.

They will keep going for it...and with what they have, they should. What will be interesting is, if that doesnt work, then they need to trade guys...like the actual valubale parts....they might be forced to go "THE KIDS CAN PLAY II"...Where is Mike Caruso?

Lots of Cub fans raking the Sox in this thread going unnoticed by RFDC.

The Sox offense is terrible, and they seem to give teams at least one or two extra outs every game. Giving away outs on the bases and/or giving the other team's offense extra outs is not a recipe for success.

If I were a Cubs fan I'd be worried about The(o) Plan's heavy reliance on hitting that can't hit.

Sorry, could be anything....

2nd violation

Right-hander Javy Guerra, who spent most of 2014 with the White Sox, has received a 50-game suspension without pay after a second positive drug test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program

Then you are a fool. MLB added the second wildcard to give hope to all the bottom feeders that where out of the playoff race by the all star break. Ratings where down, attendance was dropping and they had to do something to keep you interested. So... they gave you hope and change. But just like Obama, this was a smokescreen to keep you interested, when there is no hope or change. Just more the same. Enjoy your slim hope for change because really what else do you have to look forward to as White Sox fans. M.Johnson?
