Yea, I don't get the Fowler thing.

Me neither. I've seen enough. I'd rather we Julius play the rest of the year.

Fowler can't hit a good fastball. After Fowler wiffed on that first pitch I had no hope.

Why wouldn't you just keep everything low and away vs Perralta? Even if you're sitting on it you can't take it out the yard. I don't understand going in there.

This team won't win shit with Fowler and Castro. Fowler is too fucking stupid to understand his role as a lead off man and Castro just plain hits the ball the exact opposite he needs to. If he needs a fly ball he'll just ground out to 2nd. Fowler might be the worst though.

Fowler:
noun
1.
a hunter of birds.

Irony:
noun
1. The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.

His bat certainly isn't a hunter of balls.

Fowler led off the game with a 7 pitch walk.
That AB in the 9th was not a lead off situation.

That being said, Fowler should bat 9th. More valuable there, IMO.

Fowler's JOB is to get on for guys like Rizzo and Bryant right? Those are the big bats in the lineup yet Fowler continues to swing away for some reason. Regardless if a long at bat....he shouldnt be swinging for the fences every at bat

And right before Fowler bats they came out to check on Rosenthal. Make him work in that at bat. Maybe take a couple pitches...

Well at least the Cubs proved they could beat the Cardinals this series...if the Cardinals choose to use their AAA starting rotation

I think you have this weather correlation incorrect. Chicago teams scored runs in the cold mist yesterday

The Cubs enjoy Bears weather.

Just saw an interview with Peralta he said he was looking for a sinker and couldn't believe he got a fastball

Well, stats show he is one of the best breaking ball hitters in the majors.

I'm fine with the fastball. The location was terrible. Montero set up low and away.

Strop flew open on his delivery on a ton of pitches last night. He was too amped. The opposite of Motte.

You cannot have him out there if his emotions are constantly getting the better of him.

If he was waiting on the sinker, why wasn't he fooled by the fastball?

Because you're looking "hanger." And Pedro's slider has speed.

A high hanging slider at 89 mph and a fastball at 94 mph aren't very different pitches.

Peraltas numbers against breaking pitches are this year only. He's a .236 hitter for his career against breaking stuff

Sarley a sinker is a fastball. He was surprised by the location and had quick enough hands to react

... Murray, wearing a floppy hat and a blue and gold paisley shirt that was perpetually untucked, began bantering with the masses before he took his first swing.

He asked if any fans saw his beloved Cubs sweep St. Louis in a double-header Tuesday. One woman behind the ropes said she was a Cardinals fan.

“Satan’s messengers on Earth," was the way Murray described the Cardinals.

“And then it turns out your team is cheaters, too,’’ he added.
