There's a difference between "generally nice" and total denial. Let's face facts. The show is screwing the pooch in the ratings. The hand picked staff is not working. And before you label me as a North hater, go read my posts about his White Sox weekly debut. Very complimentary. When he sticks to sports, he's good. When he doesn't, he sucks. As far as the hooker, I don't care. It's history. But it's factual history.

I don't know what you think of the show. To be fair, I am curious as to what your opinion of the show is, however.

But in all fairness to everyone here, and keeping this professional (at least with myself) , it is easy to assume that you are a huge fan of the show and/or Mike North, or that you are associated with him in some way. I'm not saying that you are any of those, I'm just saying that I can see why people might think that you are.

I am not behind the scenes at the radio station. Is the fact that 670-AM isn't that good of a sports station really Mike's fault? I don't know. From the outside, and from what has been suggested, it seems it could be. I don't know. But I would rather hold management accountable. If Mike North does something that hurts the station, it's the management's fault for allowing that to happen, I think. Right now, I think the North morning show has hurt the station a lot, and will continue to. If North doesn't want to admit that the show isn't working, then I blame management for not doing so and allowing this to continue.

Keeping Score you are eternally boring me. Or should I say "us." Get your 3.95 out and then post it here for all to see, I'm sure you'll find something wrong with the wording of it - you already grasped at the headline use of "alleged."
Some of us haven't read it but we didn't go running round town screaming at the tops of our lungs about it. Mike's talked about it ON THE AIR so that's good enough for most of us. Also, your buddy Mike did the classic Guilty Guy With Money Deal - he plea-bargained it down from a felony to a misdeameanor - you know, that's where you say "I'm not guilty but I'm willing to pay a big fine with 6 months probation to make it go away." That's guilty in my book.

I'm not the one who accused the King of Radio (Mike North) of being with a prostitute.

Personally, I wouldn't care if he banged every hook and tranny up and down North Ave - he'd still be Chicago's favorite son.

However, I know he would never do such a thing, since he has such a fine, fine, ultra fine wife already.

You sound surprised that he is boring you. Rock is KS. If the show bores you, it stands to reason that Rock/KS would bore you also.

Jiggs guest hosted with Mac sometime in late spring or early summer and agreed with Mac's analysis of the programming change.

As far as I know, TDUB never publically stated any ill will towards Mike North, on his old Saturday WMVP show or on his old tdubonline.com website.

Someone on here once claimed Grobber had issues with North, but Les did post "using Grobber33" as a guest, that he has no ill will towards Mike and that he and him are friends.

J Hood I believe his jhoodshow.com website, included North among many others as those he thanked after he left WSCR. He included North, and almost everybody else, except for Dan Bernstein. I doubt Hood as any ill will with North, and would believe his ill will is more with Mitch Rosen.

Keep in mind, I'm not speaking for any of those individuals, but just going off what appears to be the case.

I don't know Martin - you and Gridiron Assasin seem to really be in the know about things - it sounds like you want to tell us in so many words - Do you have some stories that you need to break too????? OUT WITH IT!

Don't be so stupid KS - chances are a 5am post is coming from the Score. It's either the over-night producer or the morning gang Rock or Buck or Jenn.

Thanks for the lecture, but I really don't remember anyone asking you to moderate the board. If you feel attacked, then toughen up, you seem to bring it on yourself, just like North does. No sympathy for either of you, you both seem to crave approval of the respective audience and neither of you are receiving that approval. You both fail to see that Mike's ego has damaged the station. His idea for a general talk show in the morning is a disaster, it doesn't fill a need and the host is the last person anyone would pick to do it. His choice of people to put on the air, Annie, Fred, Fritzy also shows a lack of judgement. The show has not taken off, not attracted new listeners and has driven away long time listeners from the station. Both of you fail to acknowledge this simple fact- North is to blame for this situation.
So you can post all night long, just like last night, but that won't change the facts.

All of what I suggested is based off observation. Hood thanked North on his website after leaving The Score. Whe listening to TDub on ESPN 1000 after leaving The Score, I never heard him blast North, nor did he ever write on his website anything bad about North. Grobber came on this very website and claimed he and North are still friends.
