I thought there was a thread about this at one time but after using the search function I couldn't locate it. Probably been a while and some of us probably have new
additions. The fact that the thread might slightly aggravate Ike only has a little to do with starting it. :eye:

I have a 2 yr old brindle boxer that looks almost exactly like this.

I would like to know what kind of pets people have ....in places other than AT HOME?

I would imagine Ike has some exotics at his family ranch?

This could take a while -

13 yr old golden retriever
8 yr old lab/great pyrenees mix
1 yr old brindle pittie
5 cats
goldfish

Okay, I guess that didn't take too long.

I thought the question, "What kind of pet do you have?" lent itself to some interpretation among some board members so I specified.

My building does not allow.
So I livethrough my family nd Friends.
Best friend has a 2 year old Husky who is so Alpha every time I come over I haveto bring him something ot I am not allowed in the house and when we eat I have to share with him.

My brothers 1 1/2 year old half pit/lab is more attached to me than anyone else. Other day me and bro walked into the house and dog ran to me instead of his master. My brother was totally pissed. All he has to do is see me and he goes into full spaz mode.

And cats are worse. My mom slowly turned into crazy cat lady, so we had a shitload of those furballs vomiting and pissing all over the place, when I was a yout.

No pets for this guy.

I'm allergic to cats and my ex-wife was a crazy cat lady. That's where I draw the line. No fucking cats.

You have to love dogs to have weims. They are my favorite, and I want to get another one. They do not shed, they always want to play, go for walks, and have tons of energy. They are a dog lover's dog. If I could just get mine to stop barking needlessly!

If you do not like dogs, then it is the worst possible breed. These dogs need a ton of attention, and they demand it.

Our Bernese mix was one of the sweetest dogs we've ever had.

He is great. Loves the baby...even when she licks him...

That is a beautiful dog. It looks like my buddy's dog, Maggie. She never barks, she stays off the furniture, and never needs to be on a leash. She is one of the coolest dogs ever.

We have taken her on the canoe with us.

You clearly know your Weims….spot on description.

My other half has always had dogs and that was the breed she eventually came to want to have. There is a 12 yr old male and a 7 yr old female. I do not hate dogs…I have always like them. I’m just aware of what it takes to own a dog and never wanted the responsibility.

The male is old and smelly but he’s calm and doesn’t require much attention. His annoying traits are begging for the slightest crumb of food and he’s still trying to mark his territory. It’s getting better and less frequent.. The female is an entirely different factor. She’s a ton of fun and friendly, but gets into everything if it’s not locked up. She’ll rip up clothes. She’ll rip up bedding. She’ll intentionally crap in the living room. She’ll rummage through garbage. She’s very smart, but she demands a ton of attention and supervision. As much as I don’t want to do it, she’s going to get crated when we’re not home….too much crap has been destroyed.

They came with the lady, so there’s not much for me to do but make the best of it. It’s very much love / hate.

That is pretty awesome for a Boxer. My first dog ( in my avatar was about 12 when I had to put him down), helped me fall in love with the breed.
Full of personality and each one is a little different.
