I don't know who half the players on the Sox even are but the mix of their good pitching and our lousy hitting is the difference. This offense is really bad. They fooled us all in the first two months of the seasons.

I don't care if Schwarber is a butcher in the field right now. He can at least hit. This team is Rizzo...a little bit Bryant and a bunch of crap. Has Hawk said that this is the best offense in baseball at fouling off pitches until ultimately striking out that he has ever seen?

To state the obvious, Sale is a stud.

Cubs may still get the 2nd wild card, but they are still a year away.

They need to get the win tomorrow to end the break on a positive note.

They look flat as hell after that last Cardinal shocker.

Whoa ..settle down! Baez,Soler and Russell all were supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread. As of now they are not...rushing these guys along might not be a good thing, This shit might blow up in Theo's face big time. The way the talked up Solers ability it sure looks like he ain't anything special

I am disappointed there hasn't been a Dolphin post yet. Frank would have been all over this.

He looked great, except when he looked awful. So, just like the majority of his starts.

Jim Deshaies believes Lester was unlucky because the Sox scored 5 runs with only 7 base runners. Hawk would be proud.

Yeah, Soler has been a huge disappointment so far. I expected him to take a leap forward. Instead, he's taken about three steps back.

It was a matter of time to start counting pennants with can't miss prospects. Waves and waves of talent. Wasn't if but when. Sox win again today.

Agree with the Schwarber thoughts. There is no good reason not to have the kid on the 25 man right now. He's not going to be a catcher. Tell him so gives up on his fake dream. He needs to be in LF tomorrow afternoon, or the first day after the break. The 2 clowns in LF are awful, and the CF is no better. Soler have been a huge disappointment. To be honest, Bryant has been ok, but not living up to the hype. I need a hitter and a pitcher added by the 31st.

Oh how I wish the Sox were in the NL. The pitching would breeze them to 90 wins easily. The Cubs aren't necessarily a bad team, but man just fold the NL as a Major Leagur and turn it into AAAA.

This series always seems to be a Waterloo for the team with the better record

I wouldn't worry, no prospects bust

The bullshit would be if theo and company simply throw up their hands and say we are a year early because of this and you fans accept that justification

In reality these are just two stinking games in the middle of summer. It is natural for kids to let down just before a break

However, next time I hear about the lack of care about the sox, I'll make sure to reference this thread

Babe Bryant blew off the media after the game, according to Doug Padilla.
