Listen to B&B, they have repeatedly said that they can start Lester, Hammel, and Arrieta in a Wild Card game. Have talked about Lester still being the ace based off Danny's random stats. Was talked about heavily last week. Listening is a skill.

Danny is out of his mind.

I would trust only Arrieta in WC playoff. Hendricks second as of right now. When they trade Castro for Syndergard........????

Unless Castro turns it around, I think the ship may have sailed on that trade.

Now that it's all over, what was everyone's favorite managerial decision of the weekend?

Mine was Robin burning Duke to get the 27th out on Saturday, in a game that was well in hand. Way to make sure that Duke was unavailable on Sunday in case you could win another game.

3 year plan? Christ, there clearly isn't a 3 hour plan...

I scratched my head on that one also. Made zero sense.

Same here, but Maddon did the exact same thing on the 4th of July and he is a genius

Not quite correct in the outcomes but the analysis was correct. These teams were collectively under the entire weekend.

Arietta truly had a complete game. Not only pitching 9 innings while giving up just 1 run, but laying down a successful sacrifice bunt and hitting a home run. This is what an Ace/ Stopper looks like. Lester had a nice game after the first 3 hitters, but he's a #2 or #3 in a good rotation. Can't throw to 1st base??? What the hell is that? With Hammell looking like he's fine and Hendricks pitching really well of late, things are looking good. Just need to get a quality 5th starter. Sale was brilliant and Rodon looked really good too. He was the guy I hoped the Cubs would get in the draft when the Sox took him 1 pick ahead of the Cubs, who took Schwarber. It may turn out that Schwarber is a great pick too, but Rodon should have a nice career barring injuries.
