Time to end this train wreck. 4 years declining attendance, ZERo quality of food, less quality of people....

There were quite a few different fests over the weekend. I went to one on Chicago Ave and Damen. I joked that it was the fest that the people who didn't want to be bothered with the Taste went to.

That being said, The Taste is here to stay Biggie. It may get to a point where it's only 3 days, but I don't envision it going away.

And to be fair Big Fan, the Taste isn't for your type anyway, in my honest opinion. That's why there are other optional fests.

Came close to going away 3 years ago....and will go away one day as well....as even visitors realize it sucks...

Maybe they create a new format, something REAL....like a REAL TASTE, where you pay $1 and get a TASTE...not a meal....New Orleans does it that way....its affordable for everyone to have a stand and its just a TASTE....its big money and Political clout to get into the Taste....

I could be wrong, but I wouldn't think a lot of these local restaurants would appeal to you. I haven't ever seen you pine for some Jerk Chicken and Rice and Beans on the board or catfish nuggets before.

Was there a Panda Express booth? I'll meet you at it next year, if so.

Panda Express. This is so close to the truth. When young it was a some people's first chance to have Leon's or Harold's for example or other weird stuff. Now wait in line for your $12 franchise food.

I was working in Calumet city a few weeks ago and hit up Panda Express for lunch. Got the one entree with half fried/white rice. I liked it.

It is not a matter of liking it. It is why is it at taste?

Oh. I was making a joke. Pretty sure they wouldn't have a booth at Taste.

lower attendance is a positive, no? at least from a user perspective.

there's a food and wine fest in the park in September. you have to pay like a $100 but I think you're less likely to run into the guy who cuts your lawn there, BigFan.
