One of my guys , long time Sox diehard, even has 6 season tickets...claiming velocity down on Sale. Havent watched enough to call it, but thought about it when saw a fastball at 94 MPH last night.
Had a good TV rotation last night

200 - CUB - 45%
201-SOX -8%
203-Womens Softball - 2%
204 - Bulls - 55%

*Giving 110% to my viewing last night.

His velocity is fine he's just not throwing sliders 0-2, instead he's going to the change against VICTOR MARTINEZ. That and he isn't locating. His health is fine.

He'll be fine. His velocity will increase when the weather warms up! :P

No, but it doesnt look like arm trouble. He's been wild. That, and he has never been able to get Victor Martinez out. And thats a huge problem when hes in an order with Miggy and Cespedes.

He's going thru a dead arm phase because he didn't have a full spring training. He's also adjusting to being on a new team, in a new league and he doesn't like day games.

Why isn't Sale going Friday? That's already an extra day.

To me this just means that the Sox are being realistic and are going to be sellers. That's fine with me at this point. I don't think they're going to leapfrog seven teams for a Wild Card. That's just fantasyland. But I will be pissed if they act like they're going for it and hang onto guys like Samardzija and Alexei after coming out of the break with John Danks. If you're going to have the slightest hope of getting back into it, you have to come out and take that doubleheader and go from there. Your chances of doing that with Danks pitching one of those games isn't good. And Sale sitting on the bench on five days rest.

I don't bet baseball but after talking to you I bet against Danks and he had his best game of the season.

If you bet him every time you'd be retired on Ibiza.

after seeing the attendance and ratings...fastest way to make this thing cash flow (JR's sole determinant of success) is to slash salary. so yeah, I think they are going to sell.

Well, I think with the sweet stadium deal on the taxpayers' backs it's nearly impossible for them to lose money.

Going for it means Sale and Shark on Friday, Quintana on Saturday and Rodon on Sunday. Monday is a day off so Danks could be skipped and not pitch for more than two weeks.

That's exactly how it should be set up if you're going to make a pretense of going for it. Failing that, you better start looking to maximize the trade value of some of these turds.

So it's Zija and Danks tomorrow with Montas out of the bullpen? I would have rather them bring up Erik Johnson to start one of the games but I guess they didn't want to anger the baseball world again by holding a pitcher out of a meaningless exhibition game.

They could be doing his yearly "rest" skip or whatever as it is tied in with the break. If so, why not say anything?

because you cut a deal with Yostie!

Mully is going to have Rick Hahn to provide you with all the lies you want to hear....

agree, just say "We are skipping him, because he has thrown a number of pitches higher than we would like"...everything is done then, no issues, everyone agrees....instead, Cooper claims to know nothing and here comes the issues. "Honesty, works well"
