They almost had a breakthrough moment in the show yesterday where Dan admitted not to knowing something. It was going in the direction of him acknowledging that issues may be nuanced until a texter wrote that Hundley was called rebel because of his southern accent

Love when there is even the notion that the S Side park is a friendly place for the Community, even though it is right in the community.

The cell is an unfriendly place for blacks and whites equally. Wrigley is just unfriendly for black people. So we win!!!! Wait, what?

JORR hit it on the head a few weeks back in a post where he referenced old Comiskey as being dangerous. Especially in the era he attended games in as a youth. There definitely was a vibe there ( much like the bar your father probably drank at ) that it wasn't for kids. There was something very adult about it.

I dont think it is "Unfriendly" for either place....for the most part it is never a problem, but there is more of an element on the South Side that is pretty outwardly racist.

Of course my sample size is not what some others have, but my opinions are formed from the high % of incidents I have encountered in my life with those who live on the Southside, those who have offices on the Southside....If you wish to tell me the guys I know who own Concrete and Sewer companies that live in the Bridgeport area dont represent enough of a portion of the Sox fan base, then you might be right, but from going that way for annual tailgates or outings, they have definite opinions on those who are not like them. And for the record they are not "My people"....I am on that show, but its not my show.

No doubt. It had a biker bar vibe.

Right now, I would say the Cell is much more kid friendly than Wrigley. If Comiskey had a biker bar vibe, Wrigley now has a singles bar vibe. The Cell has a Six Flags vibe

I've said it before and I'll say it again, my little daughter's first MLB game will be at Cellular. I love my Cubs and season tickets but I'd never subject her to the normal population at Wrigley.

so I'm listening. Farmer just patiently, in 500 words or less explained how, since the Royals lead the division, if the Sox lose, see, they fall a half game back plus a half game back. HOWEVER, should the Sox win they gain a half game, then a half game. But they don't need to sweep...they just need to win two. But maybe they can't catch the Royals. But maybe they can.

That will work well with the 8 people listening on WLS next year.

Ed Farmer does not "get" trading Shark. After all, the Sox are "still in the race". The should "table that talk".

Santo was never this bad, was he? Ok, maybe he was.

my only hope, and this is terrible, is that he would expire on-air. He was so insufferable.

he's just going along with Pat. Pat must have some issue, I can't see any other reason he has departed so regularly. It's one thing to train and give opportunities to an Andy Mazur (sp?) but nobody (including Ron) sees Coomer as a PBP guy.
