Investigators seek motive behind Tennessee shooting rampage

...The suspect, seen driving an open-top Ford Mustang, first went to a joint military recruiting center in a strip mall and sprayed it with gunfire, riddling the glass facade with bullet holes.

"Everybody was at a standstill and as soon as he pulled away everyone scrambled, trying to make sure everyone was OK," said Erica Wright, who works two doors down from the center.

The gunman then drove off to a Naval Reserve Center about 6 miles (10 km) away, fatally shooting the four Marines before being shot and killed in a firefight with police.

Yes, this is a serious headline from Yahoo.

Do you really think it's just a few assholes? Where is the majority Muslim country that isn't hostile to your beliefs?

Major religions are somehow sacrosanct. Nobody has a problem outlawing Branch Davidians.

We cannot constitutionally deport people because of their religion. If you want toe get the law changed go for it. Until then talk of deporting Muslims should be tabled.

Well that was kind of the point of my post. I was commenting on the fact that it is silly for Chas to talk about deporting Muslims immediately and not allowing Muslims to enter the country.

Do you or any of you who are Muslim defenders around her read news from other countries? About the problems that other countries are having with these people? It is not just us. We are getting it right now because we are pussy footing around. Greece is shipping them home, Norway and Sweden are thinking about doing it. Germany is starting too. You know why because these countries are seeing the danger they are.

Right, but neither do Republicans and I think you, Chus, and I would all agree that their ideas shouldn't carry the day and if they do, it's a problem. And the Republicans don't have a faction that is beheading people.

Germany has a great track record on removing undesired religions. I'm sure their decision was well thought out.

Of course. The picture was a commentary on media coverage and political discourse after shootings. Six Americans were killed by the police yesterday, including the Tennessee shooter.

I don't want ANY religion's ideas carrying the day.

Islamic fanaticism is a problem but the United States Govt. has to seriously consider how some of their policies have impacted that part of the world.
U.S. policies in that part of the world has contributed to a lot of the antipathy. It doesn't account for everything and it's not meant to excuse the actions of Muslims because their actions have been deplorable also.

But that's the problem with Islam. It's a stone age religion that makes no concessions to modernity or enlightment. We're outraged that a handful of hillbillies want to put creationism on the same level of science (rightly so) but we're going to pussyfoot around all the reprehensible shit even the most moderate Muslims believe for fear of offending?

It has but The U.S. was never involved. They have to sort out their own society. The United States really didn't become interested on that part of the world until after World War 2. We all know the reason too.

Never, once again Look up the Barbary Pirates, the first War we had as a nation. It is immortalized in the fucking Marine Corps Hymn you retard. We where not involved with most of the world till after WW2 because we where isolationist and would have stayed that way if FDR and his Trilat brethren did not force us into the world stage.

Pearl Harbor forced us on the world stage and I'm far from a retard. You need to check some of the U.S. actions in the Middle East post WWII. I'm not familiar with the Barbary Pirates but I'm pretty certain that post WWII has more to do with what you're witnessing today.

Are you familiar with anything that the United States has done post WWII that may have caused conflict in that part of the world? I am and I will list it as soon as you respond.

They either renounce a religion that places itself before country or they get the boot. Or maybe we ghettoize them. Until the religion modernizes itself and can be safely interact with others I don't know. It is too scary, there is too much evidence showing that even so called moderated Americanized Muslims can off the deep end.

Once again Nas have you read anything on the issue? I keep providing you with information and acclaimed books to read but I take it as it does not fit your agenda you will pass them over. Did you even look at the link about the quotes?
