Killer Mike has a lot of energy for a man of his size.
Learned of a girl named Natalie Prass when she played Friday.
Really good.
And Courtney Barnett plays for the other team, Spanky, so it wouldn't have been only Furious that would have told you no.
:D

My (and Furious') newfound obsession has nothing to do with which team she plays for. :D
There is an amazing amount of sound coming from that girl and her guitar. In addition to being a great songwriter. And Furious likes lefties, evidently.
But I'm also not sure she plays for the team you think she plays for. Not that I really care....but still.

I missed Natalie Prass.
Killer Mike is talented as hell...and hysterical. Clearly enjoys the moment.

And, FTR, our group tried to get in to the rumored HAIM/Taylor Swift guest appearance Pitchfork after show.......and even though I had the alleged "preferred" RSVP entry.....we could not get in.

Which is what we expected.

Well, I'm glad you had a great time anyway.....pretty sure about CB though. Kinda reminds me of a female Kurt Vile.
Laid back, lackadaisical, but awesome songs.
And HAIM needs to make a new record toot sweet.

Courtney Barnet writes the world's most perfect songs about......the world's most mundane things. It's what she does.
"Depreston", her song about shopping for a house in the suburbs vs the city is a gut punch every single I hear it.

Shirtless....Further research says that you are correct about CB. I seriously never even thought about it until you said it
But again, that has nothing to do with my obsession. That girl is super talented.
Next time she comes through, no matter the venue, I will be there.

I am convinced Courtney Barnett was playing just for me. Best performance I've seen in a while. Super-tight band with super-tight tunes, led by a chick playing a lefty Telecaster. I'm a fan.

Mrs. spanky > spanky.

I spent from 5-6 navigating the crowd w/3 beers looking for spanky and his entourage. Never found him, but damn did I have a good time.

What a great day.

What? She's a lucky woman....

Furious and I did share a moment during Courtney Barnett. He's all hands.

A Bagels sighting would have been nice.

Bummed I missed Perfume Genius. Had them playing at 5:45 on my mental schedule, but they played at 3:45. Hiking to the blue stage only to find some electronica/noodling was disappointing.

must see set for me was Todd Terje with a live band and it didn't disappoint at all
really was crushing that Vince Staples didn't perform at all, that was pretty much my only other can't miss set (along with Chance of course) .

i had a great time overall but it feels kind of weird to me, like a closure/ending of sorts...i had already seen a ton of the bands before at some point, many multiple times....and many were on the end of an album cycle or in some cases way past....so i feel like i'm "done" with all of it to some degree, need to move on and find some new stuff now. there wasn't a whole lot of new discovery for me
