That's kind of weird. I don't think any other team has 2 different grays. You have your whites, your colored and your gray uniforms. Two grays?

What's the point? Nobody buys the grays anyway if it's a marketing thing. I don't even get why teams still wear gray. Should be white at home and the colored one on the road.

The Cubs actually have three grays and yea, it's overkill.

Dodgers and Giants have two greys as well, I think. The Cubs' second grey uniform is ugly. What a stupid idea.

Most teams only need a white and grey. A few teams benefit from a colored jersey (Cubs, White Sox, Royals, Orioles, A's, to name a few), but most don't. No one needs more than three.

The weird thing about the ones they are wearing tonight, the numbers. It's not their same font or whatever you call it. They have like curved numbers. I don't know what you call that style. Always have. This is different.

Yeah, they're supposed to be a throwback to before the Cubs started using curved numbers. Why bother, though? The Cubs have used curved numbers since at least the 1960s. No one looks at a road uniform "inspired by" the 1910s or whatever and says "hey, I remember those, those were cool."
