Agree 100%.

But might need to find a new position for Bryant. Or Rizzo. Or anybody else. He's a butcher behind the plate.

If Montero can come back, that's 3 pretty good bats from the left side.

What is impressive to me about Schwarber is that he is doing this with learning catching at the major league level. You would think that the mental stress of trying to do that at the major league level so quickly would kill his hitting, but does not seem to bother the kid.

very impressive.

The nice part is having Ross to close out some games. Get The Thing 3 ABs..and work it out from there.

Dis Schwarber guy doesn't fucking blow, at least not yet.

For once I agree with Berns, this kid was born to hit things with a stick.

Who's this Schwarber guy? Is he new?

I'd like to be first on the record that he looks pretty good.

Honestly, Schwarber will probably go down as the best hitter to ever play the game.

Yes, though the cynic in me looks at it as somewhat fortunate, due to:

1. Chapman being unavailable to close out a 4-2 lead in the 9th.
2. Jay Bruce having a piano on his back, and unable to get a double on a ball hit to the wall and then score on the following single.

Schwarber now has two 4-hit games in his 11 MLB games. The Cubs have only one other 4-hit game this entire year (Soler).

Russell at SS, I like it! Watch Russell will get a couple hits, while playing his natural position. I like Denorfia in place of Fowler too, with Coghlan leading off. This is great!

Rizzo grounds into a double play. Chance to cut the lead in half is blown. That's probably the season.

It looks like Maddon is enjoying Chicago's Eye-Talin restaurants a little too much. He's got a nice sized boiler workin with the belt hangin low. Time to push yourself away from the table and get back on the bike, Joe.

Did he get tossed? If so, he will have time for a bike ride before the next game.

CH vibe.

The Cubs tend to bring the CH out in me more than the Hawks and Bears due to the permanent scarring they have left on my heart in the past.

This is why I go out out of my way to not watch every game. This game today makes me rage because it could be 1-1 but while the Cubs are hammering shots right to Billy Hamilton, the Reds are placing softies right in the perfect spot. This god damn sport is just as full of shit as hockey.

Yeah he got the boot. Maybe he can ride across the river and hit a couple of the strip joints. Make a day of it. Hit up the girls, Joe, not the buffet.
