I'm starting to question if you're truly a Cubs fan IMU. Baez sucks but you love him. Schwarber may be their best hitter but you can't trade him fast enough. Russell will be fine. Castro may never mature but he's still a better option than Kavier Baez.

I'm starting to question if you understand that a player's career isn't decided in their first 150 or less plate appearances. Baez wasn't ready and it showed. He still has immense potential. Schwarber is solid right now but will have his struggles and doesn't have a position on an NL team, unless you've been a fan of his passed balls and errors at catcher. Russell will probably be fine, but I don't want his growing pains to be a reason the Cubs miss the playoffs. Castro is one of the worst players in major league baseball right now. Baez cannot do worse offensively, and would be better defensively. And I'm the biggest Castro fan there is.

I think we have seen the Castro ceiling...and its not that high.

DEFENSE - We have multiple better options.

OFFENSE - I wont take this year as what he is, but even his highest isnt that much higher. I am fine with getting rid of him and taking the chance he does better with someone else and TRY Baez. Once again, TRY. I agree the potential is there, but he had lotsa work to do...just as Rizzo did...so it can be done, was it? We will see..

Tulo is a top 5 player in the game when healthy. Id gamble Baez and Castro on that for sure.

But it's gonna take some pretty potent weed to make Colorado go for that :alien:

I'm no fan or believer in Baez , mostly because his swing is too long n the guys who drafted him couldn't find their ass with both hands ... I'm ready to move Castro now or in off season ..give short to Baez ..he's got to be equal to or better than Castro . even if he sucks .

What the hell happened to LaStella? Is he dead?

Move Russell to short and start playing musical chairs at second with everybody that plays IF at AAA.

Castro keeps this up and post July 31 you could see something drastic.

Castro and BAez fro Tulow???????

I would take that deal even if he only played 81 games a year.

I'm with you NAS. I take Tulow in a heartbeat. IMU has horrible automobile and Cub thoughts. Just ignore them and your life will be better.

Would you also be okay trading Chris Coghlan for Mike Trout? How about Kyle Hendricks for Johnny Cueto?

  I'm not sure about Trout. He's going to want $400M in about 6 years.

They have other pieces....and once again, its not just about talent. Colorado needs to rebuild. The 30 year old SS, signed for $20M a year for the next 5 years might not fit into that plan....

This isnt just about prying him away. I think he has made it known he is willing to go...as most vets would on a team that needs to start again.
