Edit - I'm a batter early.

So will we get the Castro strike out or 6-4-3 right here?

Soriano hung a couple of pitches to the batter before he gave up the HR and got away with it

That HR was practically underhanded up there.

Brewers, Reds, White Sox, Phillies. They struggle to beat dog shit teams.

I can relate to Soler and Bryant. The low outside slider is hard for me to lay off of in The Show. Maybe I should reach out to them.

No excuse for losing this game.

Gotta shell Jerome Williams.

They need to pick it up vs. these shit teams or the Giants will blow right by them.

They will be fine. Bad loss for sure. But if the called third strike in the top of second is not fucked up by bad ump call they win. Next pitch BOOM

Disagree.

Good teams win these games.

Chances are they are still a year away from being a true playoff team. Now if they can land another starter this season and maybe a CF to upgrade Fowler, they will be alright. And Castro needs to be gone. He has become a liability at the plate and never has been a plus defender.

Castro blows and they know this. Fowler they expected more from and did not get it. When both are gone and upgrades are made maybe?

For sure. The future is bright but this year I think they miss the playoffs by 2-4 games.

The Giants are the Giants. Look for them to get on a roll when the chips are down.

Giants will probably end up blowing by the Cubs. And a starting pitcher is not going to change that. This team is way too inconsistent.

Cubs better step it up - and fast.

The San Francisco Giants have won 9 of 10, and last night took a 0.5 game lead over the Cubs for the second Wild Card spot. GOOD MORNING!

update on Dexter Fowler trade: Luis Valbuena (remember him?) has 19 HR's but is batting only .201

Very weird for Valbuena not to be hitting at least 40 points higher but still 19 HR's is a lot!

What has Fowler done with the bat??

i agree; they're dropping games to the wrong teams lately. it's obvious they are still not there. hopefully they can make the right moves in the next few years to get back into contention. it still doesn't make it any easier to watch them lose to the worst teams in baseball. that's just too familiar cubsdom.
