Really sucks balls that we play the Phillies when they're playing their best ball of the year while we are playing our worst. Bad bad bad.

I wonder if Boers wants Hamels now. He went pretty hard against it the other day. He will be pining for it on Monday.

How does acquiring starting pitching help this offense?

A starting pitcher making a shitload of money who has sucked is dominating a team whose offense has sucked balls for quite a while now.

Let's trade for him right now.

What makes this so frustrating is that we don't know what the Cubs actually need. They're too inconsistent. Hitting started off great and pitching was average so we all thought we needed another pitcher or two. Now the pitching has been better but the offense is among the worst in the league so now it feels like we need another bat or two. Fact is we need a little bit of both still.

Also, there was no reason for Ross to play this game today over Schwarber.

I sure as hell don't want to pile-on the lack of offense, but facts are facts (as of yesterday):

2014 Cubs: .239/.300/.385, 89 wRC+, 3.79 runs/game
2015 Cubs: .239/.316/.372, 88 wRC+, 3.8 runs/game

:(

What does the Blauser effect mean...for over decades there have been players that dominated this shit organization..Blauser was acquired because he was an All Star that hit .300+ with 17 dingers and 70 rbi's what effect....oh he came to the Cubs and he sucked..that effect that's WTH I'm talking about

With the five or six future HOF'ers on the Cubs, is this the greatest game ever pitched?

Glad to see Hamels finish it off. Cant believe the great Joe Maddon couldn't motivate these guys to get a hit.

Joe respects the history of the game and told them not to get on after the 6th; plus if an NL team trades for Hamels, he wants them to have to give away too much ... Joe's playing the long con here.

I'm talking about "Cubs owners and management feeding Cub fans shit...again."

Have you lost interest in your club? Now there's a situation that deserves some of your great analysis.
