...Castro was Schwarber?

http://m.mlb.com/news/article/9870378/

I can't wait until Cub fans want to "package" Schwarber with a bunch of other bums for Jose Fernandez. It's gonna happen.

Every Cub is a Babe Ruth/Mickey Mantle hybrid until they aren't.

This whole team seems to be filled up to the brim with plaayers that are the next Corey Patterson.

This sums up my Cubs issues with them entirely. Don't forget pitchers like Cy Young too though.

Right. There's never just a useful player. Cubs fall into two categories- budding superstar or scapegoat.

Remember Sox SS,Caruso? Check the south side for overkill on budding rookies. Listen to Hawk build 'em up!

I am not a Castro guy. I always felt .275, 10-15 HR's would be where he was for a career. I have had an issue with him not hustling. This year has been his worse. The looking at his glove, looking for for advice from god, looking down, etc,

This is a guy, that if I was another team, I would grab him, as I do think he is mentally fucked up and cant handle the fact he knows they want to trade him and he knows the have 3 better SS's in the organization than him. Yes, he needs to be treated with kid gloves and told he is the greatest all the time. So, if you can make him feel as good as he thinks he is, I would see upside on him....but he is a head case and the current situation for him is a big part of his problem. Oh, and stepping out of the batters box on every picth away makes it tough to hit.

Not as much as the Cub fans who keep starting Sox topics care about the White Sox. Let's stop the crap. Why are you all so jealous of Sox fans? Oh yeah, 2005. Don't worry. You've got Kyle Schwarber.

Remember when Cubs fans were ridiculed as Trixies and Chads?

As reported in the Sun Times on Sunday, it looks like the fan base is going retro.

The crowd was noticeably smaller behind the plate on television in the 9th inning of that no hitter. At the end, five head Len described the Cubs crowd as giving Hamels a standing ovation. Meanwhile the cameras could only find those who remained standing in some kind of shock, giving no acknowledgement.

I noticed the same thing happened in the 7th inning of the 1-0 Friday Cubs-Sox game.
