Your compensatory projection of menace is a guarantor of its lack, and it says something about the depths of your misperceptions.

How's this...

It's not a good show.

It's not even a good line. He's the assistant. He should have called him Pancho.

by the way, if Vaughn was still in Chicago in his youth, there is no way he didn't watch The Lone Ranger and The Cisco Kid episodes on WGN on Sunday mornings

He was dressed like Cisco. What more did you want? The guy to ride a goofy painted up horse into the club?

We over thought season 1 and lost. It looks like we are all over thinking the fleeting moments of this show again.

I'm not thinking about anything at all. He got me last season. Not again. I'm just enjoying Vaughn, Farrell, and Springfield struggling with the stylized dialogue.

You have been quite relaxed about the whole thing. But seeing folks debate the cheesy one liners is kind of amusing.

The debate from you is "IF" it is a nugget of comedy/entertainment....assuming you are correct and if thats one of the best parts of the show, then I am OK with the simle "Bad Show" statement.

You know, when you think about it, the dialogue from last season was just as oddly stylized and stilted as it is this season. It's just that Harrelson and McConaughey were able to pull it off better than these guys. I mean, McConaughey almost talks that way in real life. If he were reading Vaughn's lines they wouldn't come across nearly as weird as they do. He could get away with saying "young trim" and just seem like a creepy dude. When Vaughn says it, it elicits laughter.

Vaughn is just not a good actor..Mcconaghy n Woody are amazing actors...I think they carried this poor writing last year.

Piven and Vaughn are not good actors, they are real life pricks, thus play the role very well when called upon.

I've heard good things about Vaughn.

It's Piven and Cusack who are famously assholes.

I've heard real good things about Vaughn being a real cool guy , but that's from friends that met him at Sox or cubs games n that polar plunge .

I tried watching Sunday's episode just now. I'm tapping out of this show. Took it off the DVR schedule.

I could believe that about Cusak. He seem like he would be a hipster jumping from fad to fad but a generally likeable person.

Cusack is a tool. The entire Class of '84 still laughs about how he walked into the 20 year reunion.

I wasn't there, but I have several friends who were. I'm pretty sure it was the 20th reunion, but it could have been their 10th. Time flies. We're old. Anyway, Cusack walked in like he was King Tut. People just started giggling. He was never some cool guy in high school. Just a theater dork.

A lot of big men (and women) attended ETHS. We aren't going to swoon over an actor with bad teeth.

You have to be some type of special douche being a somewhat famous actor and showing up to your high school reunion.

Had to be about a girl he wanted to bang back in high school. Wanted to go to see if she's still hot, impress her and make that unfulfilled conquest. Had to be. Only reason to go.

In the opening scene between Vaughn and Farell, it was like both of them were auditioning to play Batman. What the hell was that? Quit whispering with such emphasis, you idiots.
