3-0 to a K.
He would of got the ground ball down if a guy would of been on first so he could of hit an inning ending Double play.

It's as good a time as any to remember the old saw about a team not being as good as their best nor as bad as their worst.

Dexter and Soler better have some leg injuries. They've been really bad going after balls in the last 2 weeks.

So much for momentum.

What a lifeless performance so far.

And Castro remains a joke.

Maddon better get on the horn and call in a mime, talking parrot and cod piece with a buzzsaw on it that has sparks shoot out.

Dude looks like he wants nothing to do with being on that mound. This may be worse an the Veras experiment.

Well, another bad loss tonight. Can't keep starting Beeler, Wada, or Richard in the 5th spot. With 2 months to go, every game matters, and you can't be getting 1-3 innings out of your starter every 5th day. Should of been a easy win, with Colorado morning the trade of their franchise player. If nothing happens by the deadline, I'll be pissed at the higher ups. They said they were buyers this season, now show us. Your team is in desperate need of boost.

Beeler can not pitch a meaningful game again this season..he blows . Maybe time to put Wood back in the rotation.

I see Baez came back today n hit a homer , bring him up ..I wonder if Castro would clear waivers n somebody would grab him n his salary .

Cubs are going to take 2 out if 3 against the Rockies and will begin a run to the playoffs after it's announced pregame that Starlin Castro has been traded. I don't know how one guy can fuck up so much and have people continue to show support for him. Oh wait, the Bears begin camp today. Nevermind I remember another guy people blindly follow no matter how much he sucks.

I think it's very likely we'll see Russell at SS and Baez at 2B by the weekend.

As JoeOrr has stated, Cubs fans need to find their one scapegoat each year.

Fowler has been really bad as well but his struggles are just at the plate. Castro has been bad everywhere.

The Cubs aren't going to be so much better if they get rid of Castro as they need their big bats to wake up from their 2 month funk.

Fowler has had some defensive struggles, I'd say. There are some routes he has taken to some balls that may have given up an extra base. But overall, I think Fowler is doing okay. I expected a bit more, but he isn't bad.

I'm Castro's biggest fan. He has been bad. Truly awful. Offensively and defensively. He looked good two games ago at the plate, and went right back to looking terrible yesterday. He has had a good career until this year, and I believe he will have good years ahead. But the Cubs are a playoff contender this year, and he has cost this team games. The Cubs have options at SS. You cannot continue to play him and say you're fielding the best team for a playoff run. I want to see Baez up soon.

I do wonder whether he may have an undisclosed injury, as he was really dogging it as he chased down LeMahieu's triple last night. Sounds like Ramirez may still have shoulder issues as well, which seems evident not only in his lack of velocity but the fact the Cubs hardly use him.

Hopefully the 20 million plus ace ( but not really signed to be the ace) can put a stop to things today by notching his 6th win in 4 months of pitching.
