This damn call center from India calls me twice a day, morning and then usually around 10:30 at night, with -

"This is Windows 35 support. Are you the owner of the computer?"

This has been going on for weeks. This is the final straw to have us just get rid of our landline. I haven't made a call on it in years but kept it around for our security system.

Lately, the past 3 or 4 calls, I've begun to treat it as some performance art. Responding with stuff like an Al Pacino-esque "THE COMPUTER? I OWN ALLLLLL THE COMPUTERS!! I OWN 'EM ALL!!!"

Another time I got all depressed on them with "I wish I had money for a computer. I'm renting mine. I'm not allowed to touch it."

They still call though.

Waiting for the time when I can finally say
That this has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way

They called me and I use an Apple. Didn't stop the guy from reading the boiler room script. So I let him go on, and say "Ok". So now he wants a credit card, I give him one that's expired but change the expiration date. It doesn't work. So now I'm giving him a hard time for it not working. "Put on your supervisor." Another "chap" comes on and basically starts reading from the script. I tell him "I think you're right about my Windows PC, but I just bought stuff on Amazon with the card so I know it works." He asks me to give the number again, I do. It doesn't work. I tell him well "my PC is working better now since you called, you can bill me later." *Click*
