Yes we need pitching depth and that was the purpose of drafting only hitters in the first round. To flip them for other needs.

No .

I'm not really a fan of Baez , Ross has never thrown 200 innings ..always been in pitching parks ..I think we can get more for Baez ..

Don't know enough about Ross but kind of hate to give up on Baez unless it's a sure thing coming back.

To bad the Pad's don't want Castro.

Castro will be better then Baez. You are one more call up away from having Baez's stock crash and burn faster then you can say J.Borchard

Depends on the trade. If it is a package with Baez and others for Ross and Kimbrel? Maybe.

But I'd rather the Cubs target Cashner because I feel he would fit better in Wrigley field, and the cost in prospects would be less.

Baez is going to be good.

Why are some now convinced that Baez is going to be good? Seems just awhile back most thought he was going to be a bust.

I am fine with trading him and/or Castro.

You are right . Unless he's lights out on defense . Russell is been bad at the plate..but he's gold glove infielder n his value is through the roof right now.

It's hard for them to keep up with their own bullshit. You would think they where Sox fans.

Those same people think those same ways.

But anyone that judges a 21 year old rookie's final career on 200 PA is not too bright.

Baez could be a bopper at 2B with good defense and 25 HR's per year which is acceptable even with a high K rate.

Castro's power has never developed and his glove is sub par.

He's shown improvement in his batting stance/approach.

I'd like to give the Baez one more look in the majors. Yes, it's risky since if he bombs then he'll have no trade value like shithead Castro.

Russell will be really good in a couple years when he learns the league and grows a little more. E.Rentera perhaps.

If the Padres proposed that trade, the Cubs would run to it like a fat kid to a dessert table
