He said that IF the tigers would do a deal for Alcantara level prospects then you go for it, if not you do not go for a guy you can sign in the offseason.

He never said they should be happy to get Alcantara or anyone close to that.

Lake is out of options next year. Better to trade him for something useful instead of DFA'ing him next spring. Why would the Orioles trade Hunter? He has been pretty good and they are in the race. Lake wil be a pitcher sooner than later.
